Sardar Patel was singularly responsible for bringing each of the princely states into the Indian union and Patel's attitude to Kashmir was no different. People like Soz will distort history to present their Pandit Nehru in fine glory. They think that today's you do NOT know any history and will swallow any nonsense dished out to them.

According to contemporary accounts Patel said 'My plate is full, don't add Kashmir to my burden". Both Patel and Ambedkar kept themselves aloof from the blunders being jointly committed by Nehru, Mountbatten and Rajaji.

Mr Narayan, the person who worked day and night to merge number of princely states to India could have not tried to solve Kashmir issue if was asked by Gandhi ? He was deliberately kept away from solving Kashmir issue. It is difficult to accept your statement

Sardar was sole responsible for bringing all princely state into United India. For the reasons best known to Gandhi, Nehru and Lord Mountbatten, Sardar was deliberately kept away from solving Kashmir problem and it was left to Nehru to handle it. Mahatma Gandhi had extra ordinary love and affection for Nehru for the reasons best known to him only. He emotionally black mailed Sardar to step down from the race as PMin favour of Nehru who did not have support of a single member. The rest is the history.

Kashmir was never offered to Pakistan. Kashmir like Baluchistan was independent. Nobody had the right to hand over Kashmir to pak. After capturing baluchistan by force the troops directly came to Kashmir. Hari singh was sleeping. Had he contacted ten day searlier the entire Kashmir would have been in Indian custody.
