Is the health ministry killing medical education?
by MG Rabbani on Jul 16, 2018 12:32 PM

Nothing wrong in denying permission for renewal of permission by the Government but Government should also look into followings two aspects:
What is the standards of the AIIMS opened by the Government..
Government must provide the sufficient faculties to these institutions immediate and
In MP with illegal nexus of the Government Authority, Medical Colleges and Examination Authority, in-eligible candidates were given admission over the eligible candidate by illegally.. all are became Doctors and treating people. The action of Government is of tortoise speed...

Increasing doctors does not mean you produce trash
by auryas on Jul 16, 2018 12:25 PM

What needs increase is QUALITY of doctors. Not number of MBBS seats.

betterment of medical education does not mean we churn out truck loads of trash quality doctors through private medical colleges which fail to pass the norms laid down because they are owned by scum bag politicians.

Medical colleges denied ----
by virendra gupta on Jul 16, 2018 11:12 AM

My dear writer, lobbying is OK but please lobby for something which has QUALITY.
Medical education has been plaguedwith corruption over the last many years (thanks to MCI) .
Now if some action has been taken to stop substandard colleges, it should be welcome.
If one college has been able to get clearance from Supreme court, it does not imply that all colleges are OK.
The bad quality must not be tolerated.

Worthless propaganda
by auryas on Jul 16, 2018 10:02 AM

The guy's responses make no sense leave alone the logic.

The fact that these colleges EXIST itself is a scam.

One does not understand HOW these colleges came into being in the first place.

The approval of these colleges itself must be investigated along with people who lobby for them.

Now comes the renewal part.

So what does this fellow wants ? Renew the licenses of medical colleges even if they fail criteria stipulated by MCI ?

And that is the definition of MEDICAL education ?

The norms should be twice as strict.
by auryas on Jul 16, 2018 09:55 AM

It is a welcome step by the Medical Council of India to cancel license of these medical colleges which fail to meet the criteria.

How can any one in his or her right sense accuse the health ministry killing medical education when the stipulated criteria is not met by medical colleges ?

Yesterday a moron argued WHY Ayushman Bharat will FLOP and today another accuses the health ministry of killing medical education.

The whole coverage looks like a covert propaganda attempt to throw dirt at the government and hoping i sticks while creating propaganda on behalf of the healthcare mafia.

Medical education..
by ASHOK UPADHYAYA on Jul 16, 2018 09:52 AM

There is nothing wrong in denying renewal... Rediff is always against Govt decisions.....Now many doctors in India have to market themselves.... to earn unnecessary treatments / operations are done.....do not compare availability of doctors as per population ratio.... doctors are increasing there will be survival problem for them also....we need quality doctors....

Medical colleges in India are cash cows
by auryas on Jul 16, 2018 09:48 AM

We produce doctors and engineers like China
produces cheap household items.

Instead of accusing the health ministry , why not discuss what criteria these 82 medical colleges have failed fulfilling.

Medical education is a cash cow. All MLAs and MPs in some form or the other have INVESTMENTS in engineering colleges and medical colleges in India which produce JUNK man power.

Medical field is one of the MOST CORRUPT establishmentsin India.

PM of India wanted to increase of QUALITY doctors. NOT junk doctors produced by dime a dozen private colleges which are nothing but Investment houses of politicians.

Less said the better about the trash quality of doctors produced by these Investment houses like private colleges.

It is like Engineering colleges in India 85% of
whose graduates are unemployable , do not even
have rudimentary skills of engineers. Nothing more than money making machines.

De recognization of 82 medical colleges by MCI
by Bichitra Kumar on Jul 16, 2018 09:13 AM

We must support the decision by MCI.We want quality doctors not doctors generated from commercial medical colleges.Medical college must be qualified by MCI. Maximum private medical colleges are not fully equipped with infrastructures for good doctors.
