Who have not projected as messiah? Personal Life: He is not unique to this and could be compared with many who are/were holding power. It is said that he earned money - see some of the earlier comments. Who are/were saint leaders in politics. No body in this world is saint. Most political men speak only lies and speak ill of others as well as predecessors.
Though I have no interest in Kamal's political line, many have have commented adversely at the budding stage itself.
Yesterday is DEAD, to day is life and tomorrow is unborn. Who can predict.

It is good that Kamal Hassan choose Arvind Kejriwal to share his dias and also his association, as both intend a cleanse politics in the country. To cleanse the political system means, that first of all the political funding be transparent, the paramount of all reforms that India needs. Once transparency is imposed on the political funding everything will become clean. In the country the secret and undisclosed fund collection was the cancer in the system itself. During elections a party take undisclosed fund from Industrialists then naturally after elections, the party has to oblige to such industrialist, whether for good or bad. Next corruption can never be rooted out without a clear political will. Though Modiji says that there is no power brokers in the corridors of Delhi, it is difficult to digest. Congress can never exist without lavish corporate donation and funding. They can never make it transparent. Communists have limited pockets, but they are not clear on development. What Kamal Hassan needs to do is align more with Arvind, help him to create a national presence, and Kamal must also take interest in national politics, not confine to Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu must take a share in the national stage through close alignment with a national party and it can be Arvind Kejriwal's AAP. A promise for a Corruption free India with a good governance assurance has still a great deal of acceptance to the Indian voters, as that two are the need of the hour.

What is needed is not transparency of political funding. What is needed is change in peoples' mindset. However transparent you make, there is always a way to beat the system.
WHat is needed is change in citizen mindset.
A society like ours, which is a free loader society looks for ways to get mileage out of every thing. We want to get rich, get comfortable, get all the benefits quick and free of cost. be it reservations, some other hand outs or freebies, we are suckers for free things. Not a lot of people want to work hard and achieve things in this country. Or we want to leave the country for US or some other western nation.
Ours is a money centric society.
Society of scoundrels elects scoundrels as its leaders. Society which has no morals , ethics or civic sense elects people who are cunning , greedy and power hungry . That is us.
It is not about political funding. It is the change of mind of citizens. We need leadership that can achieve just that. BUt given the circumstances, no it is not possible.
