'Delay in forwarding Justice Joseph's name sends wrong signals'

Why Kerala High Court Advocates Association is involved in this. This is why India is not united. He is not a Kerala High Court Judge. He is a Keralite of course. But does that mean a preferential treatment to be given to him ? We are all Indians, and judiciary is supposed to be an impartial body to the people of the nation irrespective of which state they belonged to. Does this attitude of Kerala High Court Association give a wrong signal ? It is not because he is a Keralite his promotion is pending.

Within the Law
by Raj Gopal on Feb 21, 2018 09:54 AM

The GOI is well within the law in such actions. There cannot be any emotion attached to rules. The person has not quoted any law which the GOI is violating. Its a simple case of emotional outrage.

Regionalism disease is spreading into Judiciary too ?
by auryas on Feb 21, 2018 09:42 AM  | Hide replies

is it legal for an association of advocates of a particular state pressurize the collegium and go public with their demands to install a judge of THEIR choice as Supreme court judge of India ?

Looks like regional politics is creeping into Judiciary.

Whoever are the signatories of such resolution should be debarred and prosecuted for their untoward meddling with functioning of the Apex court.

What is this ? Labor union ?

It is strange that these things are happening in India in judiciary. First the three judges who called the press to wash their dirty linen in public Now some advocates association pressurizes the Supreme court ? And media happily goes public ?

Scamster Modi's hand seen in this too. RSS/BJP don't want any independent institutions in the country so they have filled whatever post becomes vacant with their stooges.

The Legislature does not have a say in Judicial appointments in a federated governance. That is the reason why there are bar associations and collegium who, through deliberation, merit and diligence appoint judges and PPs.

Now major Kavery too.
TN send all poisonous vegetables and artificial milk to Kerala. The cancer patients in Kerala multiplied 10 folds because of this.
Water flows as per gravity and slope

This is not true voice, i was in kerala for good part of my life, if there is some trouble at the borders of TN or K'taka foe more than 2 days, we used to suffer shortage of veg., milk . Calling poisonous veg., polluted milk is not proper. Still Kerala stands 1st in health index on all india basis
