Do these learned and/or elected people know what a new tender amounts to? The mess that the UPA Govt. made of the MMRCA tenders and aircraft selection process with the awful Defence Procurement Procedure has been so silly that no company in the world would have put forward tender had we advertised for one. HAL was rejected by Dassault after they inspected their facility displaying total lack of confidence in their ability to produce this sophisticated aircraft and even if helped by them in production, they had grave doubts about the HAL keeping to time schedule and so did the US. This was not without reason. Take for example the TEJAS project. They have not yet solved the stall and spin flying characteristics problem and have been able to deliver only four aircraft to the IAF in two years. Hence the authors and commentators should not talk about HAL's experience in aircraft making. They would do better to study the HAL record in manufacturing, safety, production time etc. in stead. The shameful Congressees should go jump off a cliff before accusing anyone else of corruption in Defence Deals and their sympathizers must follow suit. And such accusations against Narendrabhai Modi, who has no other interest in life except the good of our nation ? There appears to be no limit to their shamelessness. -Wg Cdr Ravindra Parasnis (Retd)
Yes, India is dilly dallying on F-16s' purchase. Though they are outdated, can still cause damage with numbers. I feel the number 36 is not the correct, may be more or being deployed in Chinese border, that with latest block-buster missiles which are far more costly, than even the empty plane.
This firdaus and his other side seem to be paid by the CHinese. Maybe this entire site, along with Daily-O, thequint, wire, and a few others, are all paid by the CHinese money.

Why does Mr. Rahul Gandhi wants to know about Rafale fighter plane? to pass the information to Chins or Pakistan for some millions of dollars in return ?
