You are write. If this CJ would have either been SC/ST or Mullah, then these political parties would not have moved this impeachment. Great joke for these political parties, BJP is communal but Muslim League is secular.

These are the best of parties in India.Law and order is a state subject. What all we hear about lynching rape etc is from----state.So we who were telling "Indira is india"," Punditji knows everything" get emboldened to tell that P.M. Modi should go and work like a constable in Unnao and kathuva .With all these parties in Power after 70yrs of rule we are a pauper Power whereas in 40yrs the then USSR had become a SUPER POWER.Moreover these parties--- may be Rediff won't dipsly it if I write.let me stop it here.R,Ponnambalam

Hold the cross
by R ponnabalam on Apr 20, 2018 08:21 PM  | Hide replies

"When SC judges themselves believe that the judiciary's independence"Judiciary's independence!!.How can there be Judiciary's independence when judges with case of false affidavit standing against him can get appointed as Judge in any country? It can be taken that at least from that day the appointment materialized we had ensured that we have no independent judiciary. Those effected that appointment should hold the cross.R.Ponnambalam

Please account for 1.4% wealth in the hands of 30% people
by R ponnabalam on Apr 20, 2018 07:41 PM

"as we are accountable to the people".Said Mr.Hamid Ansari as follows"Where do we stand on the ladder of equity? This is a question that citizens of the republic can ask the state after 70 years of legislating welfare laws and adjudicating measures to deliver social justice.""The ground reality is dismal," he(Hamid Ansari) said during the inaugural address at the 9th National Conference of the Indian Association of Lawyers here. while the top 10 percent controlled about 74 percent of it. The poorest 30 percent, meanwhile, had just 1.4 percent of the total wealth," he added. Please account for what Mr. Hamid Ansari has asked R.Ponnambalam

SRINIVASAN IYENGAR
CJI & KAPIL SIBAL.
by SRINIVASAN IYENGAR on Apr 20, 2018 07:26 PM  | Hide replies

Mr. Sibal forgets as law minister & as a member of the Union Cabinet they had cleared MR. Dipak Misra for being elevated to the HC in Odisha when the false affidavit case was also known then. They then elevated him on recommendation of the Collegium to SC knowing full6 well that he will be CJI one day due to his seniority & date of birth. They expected him to be His Masters Voice during his tenure. This has backfired like. In the case of Mr. T.N. Seshan when he was nominated to EC & he held on to the rules strictly by the Book & Congress was shown the door on many aspects which they used to bend to their convenience. The 4 Judges who have given Press Conference against CJI have also been nominated by Congress. TRUE to their salt they have heard HIS MASTERS Voic3 DICTAKT & following instructions to the core. That is CONGRESS PARTY for you.

Impeachment antics
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Apr 20, 2018 06:33 PM  | Hide replies

one of the most time wasting moves by Congress and Rahul should have scuttled this long ago. Instead he has dragged his party deeper into the mess. It's election time and Modi has made a few mistakes which the Congress must capitalise upon , but here we find Rahul grandstanding about the CJI. The common voter couldn't care less about who is CJI and even if he is impeached, it won't be a vote catching point for the opposition.
Rahul simply does not know how to focus on the main issues at hand.

Cauvery board is the most sensitiv to me
by R ponnabalam on Apr 20, 2018 06:32 PM  | Hide replies

"When SC judges themselves believe that the judiciary's independence is under threat alluding to the functioning of the CJI, should we stand still and do nothing".Many Indians themselves believe that the judicial system of India stand compromised. The Govt.of India has not obeyed the judgement of the Supreme Court as regards the Cauvery Board. That is the most sensitive case to me.The riparian right of down stream state is denied by the Govt. of india. If I am given a chance to exercise my vote in this case I will vote against india. Will the President dismiss the Govt.of India because of misbehaviour?
