It must have come as an eye opener to people in the valley the way rest of India stood like a rock in support of the child victim of Kathua heinous crime. It reflects their faith in secular values of a plural society.Unfortunately people in the valley during the last 70 yrs have been leaning more as followers of Pak believing in Muslim majoritarianism which led to the ethnic cleansing of Hindus from the valley and the never ending acts of militancy and stone pelting by young boys at the instance of Pak.It is heartening to learn there is a change coming and they do not think themselves anymore as secessionists or terrorists. We can certainly start a new chapter in the Kashmir politics.
