I'm pleasantly surprised to see that no one is talking about caste of the victim / survivor, in these three cases of rape.
Yet, it is disappointing to see so much debate about the religion of the victim or political affiliation of the accused.
Why can't we treat these horrific crimes exactly as terrible failure of human nature, instead of trying to project these as caste-motivated crimes or religion-motivated crimes, or politically-motivated accusations ?
The writer whosoever it may be has painted an ugly picture and probably wants to scare all , though it's true the politicians and our rulers are unable to control the state of affair as it is clear from recent incidences still one should not be negative or issue such statememt We all must find solution and as It is clear we can not fix blame only on politicians we as society must accept the blame and find a solution without magnifying or finding excuse for every rape that happens. Fast track court and efficient judiciary plus morally high police force is must to stop this kind of malady that affects our Nation and paints bad picture about our society.
I agreed with the first sentence. It was bang-on --- in blaming "tendencies, attitudes, and social mores", for this unending sequence of rapes.
The rest of the article was utter nonsense.
The last line was completely unwarranted and baseless -- it is a veiled insinuation that all rapists hide behind the slogan of "Bharat maataa ki jai". What rubbish !
More importantly, while we blame factors such as social attitudes (like male superiority), we constantly ignore two contributing factors --
--1--A significant proportion of rapes must be happening out of some neuro-physiological illness that causes an uncontrolled urge. Such rape cases and rapists must be separated separately from all other cases (for example rapes that happen in the midst of communal riots)
--2--A significant proportion of rapes are committed under the influence of alcohol. And alcohol is also a significant factor in so many other violent crimes beyond rapes, and alcohol is a significant contributor to financial ruin of many poor people. Time to eradicate or at least control the consumption of alcohol.

is right in saying that no one ever came to India through the north western corridor before the muxlims in the 10th century C.E and that all the people resident in the Indian sub-continent before the muxlim advent had the same DNA and were genetically the same, the only plausible reason for a minority of North Indians being very fair and possessing acquiline features is the raxpe of their great grand mothers through centuries by muxlim invaders from central Asia !
Perhaps North Indian self anointed upper caste men (some of whom have those central Asian features and very fair skin while others have the same negrito draxvidian features as most other Indians) like to exact revenge on those muxlim invaders who raxped their great grand mothers by raxping muxlim girls in this manner !
On other occasions, these men like to exact revenge on dalits by raxping their girls out of envy that the great grand mothers of those dalits did not suffer raxpe by muxlim invaders !

Horrifying scenario brought out in detail except unwanted insinuations to drag politics/communalism into it . No denying that societal responsibility is deteriorating due to failure of law/investigation/judiciary/conviction/punishment. In this situation if someone suggests KHAP(like)panchayats take over society/community matters I shall agree for effective/swift/deterrent/fair/judicious action/follow up.
