But such notions of equality are damaged most by big time thieves (crony capitalists such as the Ambanis and Adanis and Agarwals, etc) in modern India !
The damage done to commoners by caste based reservations is far less in magnitude !
Jean Dreze, the celebrated development economist has remarked : A handful of crony capitalists loot immensely more public wealth in India each year than what is stolen by 4 crore government servants in the form of bribes, commission and other forms of corruption !
Looking at how the current govt has nonchalantly given Rs 2.11 lakh crores from money paid as taxes by the people to public sector banks for recapitalisation to partly offset the huge Rs 6 lakh crores plus that such crony capitalists have stolen (misleadingly termed NPAs), his words ring so true !

Reservations should be based on economic condition not on caste basis.There are large no of poor people among so called upper caste who are subject to denial,deprivation due to caste politics.Take the case of TN where 69% is reserved for the so called sc/st,backward ,obc etc.virtually ensuring that brahmins with merit are completly denied justice.This is atrocious and must stop forthwith.There is no justification for reservation at all for anybody all are equal and equal opportunity is to be given to all.

An OBC YadavMadarChodh (YMC) gov employee cheated me 1 lac. I am practicing witchcraft so that he, his wwife, 2 sons and 1 daughter may die in some freak incidents.
JatMaadharChodhs (JMCs), YadavMaadharChodhs (YMCs), GujjarMaadharChodhs (GMCs), PatidarMaadharChodhs (PMCs), etc are not real OBCs, but real criminals. Ask them: they claim equality with Kshatriyas or Vyshyas, hence have surnames Singh, Chaudhary, etc.
Recently, I saw a 30YearOld JMC kickking and thrashing a 55YearOld gentlemen over a petty argument where mistake was on JMC’s side. 4 yrs back a JMC was arrested for raping a NorthEast girl.
JMCs destroyed Rs 25000 crores property agitating for OBC reservns in 2016.
Recently, I saw a GMC flaunting an unlicensed pistol in a UP town restaurant, talking loudly.
Now Patidars (PMCs), the most ProsperousMaadharChodhs, want reservns under OBC.
In the guise of 'Champions for the cause of OBCs' these criminals, using reservns, are getting seats in IITs, IIMs, univs, etc, becoming IAS, Class 1 & other gov officials; and ministers, CMs, etc.
It’s high-end OBCs who torture SCs / STs. Remove the criminals like JMCs, YMCs, GMCs, PMCs, etc and also the wealthy like Modis, Jaiswals, Kapus, etc from OBC list and reduce OBC reservns to 20% and only the Most Backwards Classes (MBCs) should get reservns. Remove the better off SC s / STs, reduce their quota to 20% and leave 60% for merit.

If the population of SC's and ST's is 300 mn, then why reservation for them ? Reservation is should be given when a particular caste is on the verge of extinction and such community is really poor, but the situation is very different today. the SC gave the judgement based on facts only, it has only said that no immediate arrest should be done without proper investigation, the accussed rights also needs to be protected. Law is equal for all. As of now more than 70% cases are fake or faslsely filed in revenge, hence sc gave such judgement. The SC should better abolish reservation system itself so that discriminatory caste system istelf will be abolished and will help in bringing socio communal harmony in India and these politicians wont be able to play dirty game in the name of castes which will lead to socio economic prosperity of nation.
You can not pass act violating constitutional rights. There should be equality before the law n equal protection of law...You can not arrest any person without investigation n justification... this law gives blanket permission to misuse .....

Mr P S Krishnan is full of ideas and enthusiasm. Either he should form a party of his own, OR join some party like Republican Party, Dalit Panther Party OR Bahujan Samaj Party....He should promise land to all SC,ST, and landless of other castes also. Land is already available with the government. All SC , ST and other landless will vote for him. Then he should give land, minor irrigation facility, 3 crops, nutrition, education, employment. He will be given Bharat Ratna etc.... I have provided a good road map. He should follow. ...Although i don't understand how education will give employment guarantee.

All reservations should be finished. For equal marks, where ever there is a tie, poorest candidate should be chosen; especially if he is from a lower caste.
