Dignity of Dalits have to be reflected in their character and attitiude. Dalits have allowed themsleves to be exploited by Political parties. They have forgotten what Ambedkar said and suffered. Now they look to their political masters. All these movements have become anti Modi propaganda. Absolutely no substance.
I am very much interested in these articles. Because this is a part of Western funded propaganda to turn a Indian Supreme Court verdict into a anti Dalit decision by Indian Federal government led by Hindu Narendra Modi.

Dalits will find it harder to defend their dignity a laughing stuff in deed how much of it misused for anything like even you fat they will tug some local st/sc leader go PS and are booking, even if the falls in love in FW caste and that is also problem everything even if is not there he will implant i have seen personally n-number of cases and police will start the negotiation for with victim and there are cases where police will act more smart than complainant given one good that got rid of and there is nothing to worry the best system get some of the judgement need to appreciated

According to Karma theory of HHinduism, those who accumulate negative Karma due to sins in their previous Janma are born into lower orders in the 4000-year old Birth-based caste system. This is fundamental to HHinduism though rightists try to deny that. I agree that HHinduism is a highly secular religion, but innovative methods to change this old caste evil.
To uplift Dalits, first impose authoritarian and then:
1. Impose strict family planning—2-child policy among Dalits. 2. Open English-medium schools in all Dalit colonies & villages. Just teaching English from Class 1 to 7 does not cost much or need big infra. This can be easily achieved by reducing the salaries of our useless GovtEmployees by 5% (or just do not revise their salaries for 30 years). 3. Order all Dalit gov employees to take monthly English tests and to score min, failing which give them negative yearly-increments (until they improve). Remove better off SCs & STs from reservns. 4. Make it mandatory for all other Dalits too taking min number of English tests and scoring min, before they can get and use their reservn certificates. 5. Teach only English, local language, maths from Class 1 to 7. Teach history, science, etc only after Class 8. 6. Make NCC compulsory (with English commands). Train Dalits well in western and parallel Indian manners. 7. Instill achievement-oriented thinking & upward-mobile attitude among Dalits.

"Karma theory".You please go through the report of Credit sussie quoted in 9th lawers conf."India's top10% has 74% of nation's wealth and bottom 30% has 1.4%of wealth.NO KARMA COMES HERE.ALL HUMAN BEINGS MAKE MONEY;TALK of KARMA is advertisement for showing oneself as a good man.If people believe in karma India would have been an egalitarian country.They fail to understand even that caste was a business card of the past to locate the practitioners of certain trade or profession and continue keeping all remnants of wrong practices.Karma is not taken into account when denying the right of others.The stress you put on English is right.Every one should be well taught his mother tongue and English.But in many places they are not coming out of--- (I am afraid , like yesterday Rediff would delete it, though the most unoffensive)R.PONNAMBALAM

These are the kind of reforms the fighting faction of dalits don't want. Otherwise there are already many dignified and able people from dalit community who don't use or need these cast based privileges except for when they were really under privileged. The privileges should be made need based considering the situation than cast based and misuse of these acts should be prevented.

Dalit and all other castes now spoken loud in Public is POLITICS OF THE OPPOSITION and politics of arithmatic .There is enough opportunities in many states ,in many places at least in South India .Parental help is not available to all in required measure.I didn't dare to appear for IAS ,as I felt my English was not good enough or may be even now is not good enough.I was a Tamil medium student.The world speaks English;to match wits with any body in the world we should be good in English as well.That boosts the confidence,The caste system eradication in India needs sincerity.It is missing in India.People must understand that calling a man as of low caste itself is a bad Karma.A poet Bharathi sang it"it is a sin to tell high caste ,low catse dear little girl.I think he addressed it to the little girl because he might have felt that the men were irredeemably lost in that R.PONNAMBALAM
