Congress higher ups are habituated of Instructing some one who always need to be DUMB and DEAF. They need only YES SIR or YES MADAM culture. In UPA raj no project whether it is related to Field Guns, Battle Tanks, Tejas or any defence project, never completed in time or not taken off. How Army will fight a battle? In the given circumstances the decision taken by PM Modi is absolutely right.

If no scam, why are you scared of an independent probe ?
Moreover, through this decision, technology transfer/maintenance, etc., were snatched away from state owned Hindustan Aeronautics and handed over to a private player. This decision would not only demoralise the state owned HAL, but will also cause huge otherwise avoidable burden on the exchequer later.
The revised deal would also cause additional financial implication on the exchquer.
Hence, there is nothing wrong in seeking an independent agency probe (may be by agencies like FBI, etc. as people have no faith in Indian agencies, which are likely to be influenced by BJP administration)

Rules have been broken for this deal. Parrikar DM was in Goa and Modi unilaterally finalised the deal with an exorbitant price even without transfer of technology. 2019 many such CVC and CAG reports will come which will show the true picture. Note- Vinod Rai is enjoying his post-retirement stint in BCCI.
Modiji is a nation builder. He created friends who will act in time of need. UPA was weakening India, China was allowed to grow. UPA killed manufacturers by China import policy. Secrets of weapons should not be in press.
I am against Modi as far as incouraging the fringe is concerned but this is a Government to Government deal for a good Aircraft.so Isee any kick backs.
I know rediff is against modi since the beginning, not sure why. am sure many employees working there feel like stuck and dont want to be part of this co at all

2G spectrum to first come first serve in 1998 was timely action to call lower prices.
By 2008, the situation was very different. It was pure corruption. don't talk without understanding situation.
Same with coal scam. They Said it will increase power rates, but now the auctions are done. Power rates are the same everywhere or lesser. So, that was purely corruption.
Rafale deal was need of the moment. What would happen if Pakistan attacks now and we don't have fighter aircraft? If they can't buy them in 10 years they have no right to talk now.

Power rates are same.... Then why Adani power has raised rates....
For several years we have been pussy-footing and dragging our feet on this important defence requirement. If there were some formalities that were done away with, it can be dealt with appropriately and at the right time. But the first of these aircrafts will now be arriving in India in months. That is of utmost importance.
