Amit Shah - sudden rise in Indian Politics
by on Nov 27, 2017 12:42 PM

Shah, 53, had contested for the first time in 1990 in a by-election to the Sarkhej Assembly constituency in Ahmedabad, which he retained until 2007 in three successive elections. He shifted to Naranpura in 2012.
Seen as a close confidante of the Prime Minister, Shah was a powerful Minister of State in the BJP Government led by Narendra Modi from 2002 onwards. From 2007 to 2010, he held about a dozen ministries and portfolios in the BJP government, simultaneously.
Considered Number two in both the BJP and its government at the Centre, Shah, addressing party workers at a rather somber felicitation at the State BJP Headquarters here on Wednesday evening, said he will now be Gujarat’s representative in New Delhi and work to protect the state’s interests
Amit Shah was arrested on 25 July 2010 in connection with the Sohrabuddin case. He was charged with the murder, extortion and kidnapping among other charges. Many leaders in the Gujarat government distanced themselves from him. His fellow ministers criticized him as an autocratic person, who did not have good relations with his colleagues. When Shah applied for bail, the CBI raised concerns that he would use his political power to prevent justice from taking its course.[7] The Gujarat High Court granted him bail three months after his arrest, on Friday, 29 October 2010. However, the next day, when the courts were closed, Justice Aftab Alam took a petition at his residence to bar him from entering Gujarat but for powerf

GOVT FAILURE
by George Thomas on Nov 25, 2017 05:57 PM  | Hide replies

IT IS NOT WORTH MUD-SLINGING EACH OTHER. JUST THINK ABOUT THE CURRENT SCENARIO. ALL THE PROMISES MADE ARE REMAIN AS PROMISES AND NOTHING HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED. YES HE(?) DID A LOT TO ADANIS AND AMBANIS! ALL THE ESSENTIAL ITEMS ARE SKY ROCKETING AND BECOME UNAFFORDABLE TO THE MIDDLE CLASS. HE ASKED ALL THE CITIZENS TO START BANK ACCOUNT AND THOSE WHO ARE NOT OPERATING ABLE MAKE MUCH TRANSACTIONS THE BANKS ARE DEDUCTING MONEY FROM THEIR ACCOUNTS. EARLIER ONE COULD EASILY DRAW MONEY FROM ANY BANK'S ATM WITHOUT ANY CHARGE. NOW WHAT IS HAPPENING? DEMOCRATIZATION AND GST HAS DONE WITHOUT ANY PROPER HOME WORK, RESULTING ENORMOUS FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES TO THE MIDDLE CLASS AND THE POOR. AADHAR CARD - WHAT GOVT PROMISED, SUBSIDIES! GRADUALLY THEY ARE GOING THE GET RID OF SUBSIDIES?? GOVERNMENT IS DECIDING WHAT TO EAT, WHAT TO WATCH, GUARDING VIGILANTES AND THUGS, APART FROM POLARIZING THE PEOPLE. WHERE WE ARE AND WHERE WE ARE GOING? THEY ARE MAKING AMBULANCES READY F0OR TRANSPORTING SICK COWS TO REACH HOSPITAL, WHERE AS POOR PEOPLE HAS TO DIE ON THE ROAD. THERE ARE LOT TO WRITE ABOUT THE SUFFERINGS OF THE 'AM AADMI', BUT BCOS OF LIMITED TIME TIME AND ENERGY AM COMPELLED TO STOP HERE. MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO ALL IS JUST THINK AND HOPE FOR A BETTER TOMORROW.

Since eternity power to rule this country is in hands of upper caste (primarily brahmin) be it king, congress or now ruling BJP.

So every good as well as bad (like scams, illiteracy, poverty) are because of them.

Here all are forced to chose better among worst.

So, do not get hyper, personnel and sentimental.
