Modi might have been a bit sluggish and even wrong in implementation, but not on his intentions,MMS was blind to all the loots which happened under his nose.If he is so sensitive about India's growth and economics what prevented him from giving away his dumb PM Post.He talks like a politician now,as a economist he knows Modi reforms are all long term.

Assumed loss - had it not been auctioned with existing rules framed by previous govt the govt would have got more and hence the ASSESSED loss is 1.76 lakh crores. Due to demonitation ACTUAL loss is about 2% of GDP. After allocation whether any wrong thing has happened is the question - waiting for judgement

Why are these people obsessed with Congress. Are they SCARED of congress.Coalition dharma, as said by ABV, has /had its own problems.Instead of looking with binoculars, every Mantri has one, whether Congress is coming back, they should make their reforms deliver to people and make it street friendly. Technical explanations has no value for 99% of people in India, They just don't understand.

Manmohan Singh's diatribe against GST and
by Mambakkam Subramanian on Nov 07, 2017 06:46 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Manmohan Singh has ccome out like any other two bit politician and not as a respeccted Economist and former Governor of RBI. As Finance Minister and furthr as Prime Minister Mr MMS had always toed he line first of the World Bank /IMF cartel and then the line of Mrs Sonia Gandhi and the Dybnasty.
Some better logical argument is required from an eminent Economist like him.

As aa matter of fact what Namo did in the case of Demonetisation was akin to shooting oneself in his own foot for a politician but Modi did it all the same because of the strong belief that he corruption can be tackeled only by such drastic structural changes in the economy popular or otherwise. The fact remains that it has made the black money hoarders' life miserably difficult. It is not for people like Dr MMS and the other Congressmen to talk about loot aand corruption. There has been enough of them during their 10 years of UPA 1 & 2.e

Vinu Joseph, why dont you say something about the money looted by the party you blindly support in last 10 years of their rule ? The expensive attire you refer are not purchased at tax payer's money. PM has travelled around the globe in his capacity to perform his duties as PM and not for pleasure trip. Today he is the most respected leader of the world and has created a very good image of the country. However the bias and colour blind people will not digest his success and popularity.
