Writer has sympathy for him, but what about those brutally killed by this professor's comrades-the Maoist thugs and barbarians!

To hear the condition of the professor and I believe jail authorities should hear him. But as a professor instead of heeding to violence he could have tried the law way. These people actually fight for the right thing but in wrong way. Also may be that the govt officials also do not hear unless you show violence. This is the issue with capitalists ruling always. Justice is only for some selected people and not for everyone which forces people to take guns and afterwards suffer like this

He has been framed by the State which finds it uncomfortable when people question those in power. This is the silencing of voices in a Democracy & truth is being suppressed. The RSS does not believe in upliftment of tribals, Adivasis & the disadvantaged sections of society. When the Christian community through their social outreach practices help these people on the fringes of society where there is no achhe din for them then the RSS immediately accuses them of indulging in conversion. The poor have no one to fight for them & when enlightened people do it on their behalf they are thrown into jail or made to feel they are working against the State or nation. This is the muzzling of Democracy which these people want to ensure so that they can have absolute power & run the country like dictators & loot everyone.

First of all you are justa biased person who does not understand that from time immemorial this is the treatment meted out to maiosts and there is no difference in the current handling from previous handling so bringing in RSS everywhere is of no use. I am not BJP or RSS and I hate them too but I am sensible enough to tie the right problem to them rather than shout like you and satyendra in this forum keep shouting everything on RSS/BJP. Go get some sense first before replying to my post and then we can talk

And also one more thing I know is rediff took this news due to the word Nagpur in it..and you know what that is..it does not matter but then for me it is all nonsense as I use my brain before anything and everything and I am not biased to see one Nagpur word and immediately include that in news..I think of the problem and then solve it rather than shout RSS/BJP for everything..rediff is equally f00lish -:)

Though I also want justice for adivasis, the method adopted by Maoists is not correct. We need court to be efficient for this and we need to fight for that non violently like dharnas..if everybody starts violence to get justice...we becoming Syria is not far...

Mainstream? Then one question why does adivasis do not get any justice in main stream? Remaining in main stream can you please fight for them? No because we are all selfish. While the method chosen by Maoists are wrong the cause is correct and with or without violence nobody hears them. Who is responsible for this mess? Do not say Congress only as all the ruling parties did only.injustice to them

1. Several schools were burnt by Maoists in tribal areas.

2. Cell towers were blown up by Maoists in tribal areas.

3. What Maoists are doing is blatantly looooting tribals.
Persons who loot tribals include govt. officers and politicians.

4. Our friends Adivasis should be developed. Skill training is one area where tribals can get benefitted. Lot more needs to be done. By encouraging/motivating them to take skill training tribals can stand on their own feet.

I helped more than 850 tribals in enrolling them into skill training.

@Krishna, only 850 tribals are in india? WHat happens to others?
Point to think is that there is adivasis also in this country..they need help.If we keep thinking and talking other way then how will it help?

Misplaced Sympathy? Have you ever been evicted from your home? It is easy for people like us who hardly face 1% of the injustice that the adivasis face. And most of the time what is it that we complain about - corruption in offices, bad roads, trains. Hardly a comparison to what the Adivasis go through. And please do not compare Col Purohit and Sadhvi Pragya to this case. They still had an entire group behind them to fight their cases. Not like this Professor. There is a movie dialogue in Tamil - Our blood is blood others blood is just tomato sauce

Pragya & Purohit are known crooks who have been let off by the police & judiciary due to the lax framing of charges. Prof Sai Baba is an invalid who is a sympathiser of the Adivasis & poor folk who have no support from the Govt. The Govt framed him saying he was a Maoist sympathiser & the Supreme Court has absolved him of this taint. Yet he continues to be behind bars held in appalling conditions as though he is an enemy of the nation. This is the Govt's way of subjugating citizens & jamming the discourse on how exactly they are treating the poor of our country. The Chattishgarh & Maharashtra Govts have failed in their duty in providing the needy with bare necessities & when ordinary citizens fight for them they are branded as traitors by the State to suppress the truth. This is not how a Democracy should be functioning.
