Clearly Srinivas was good at his work but not street smart. He should have avoided bars where whites frequented. He was partly responsible for being naive.
His wife is opportunistic and going to have a great life in US now.

LEAVING ONE'S COUNTRY FOR MONEY IS THE MOST SHAMEFUL ACT. PEOPLE/PROFESSIONALS CAN GO TO US OR OTHER COUNTRIES FOR EDUCATION, TRAINING , BUSSINESS ASSIGNMENTS BUT SETTLING DOWN THERE JUST BECAUSE WE DONT GET PPAID WELL IN INDIA OR DONT WANT TO LINE IN FILTHY CITIES IS NO GOOD. IT HAS BROUGHT BAD REPUTATION TO THE COUNTRY . AND THAT TOO U GET SECOND CLASS CITIZEN IN THAT COUNTRY . YOU GUYS WORK AT FAR LOW SALARIES THEN ORIGINAL CITIZENS AND TAKE AWAY THEIR JOBS. I HAVE RELATIONS IN US , UK AND EUROPE BESIDES I HAVE BEEN TO MOST PARTS, THEY DONT LIKE YOU TO GET SETTLED, THEY EVEN DONT LIKE TO SHAKE HANDS WITH U, THEY DONT LIKE TO SIT BESIDE U . Had this incident happened in India, everyone would have declared India as a 3rd world country (starting with Indian media). Don't blow petty issues in India.. it is still the best country to live in.
while we feel sorry that a life has been lost, the same feeling also goes when one sees a precious life being lost in road accidents. hundreds of lives are lost due to rash and negligent driving by those who don't care for their own life. driving on roads is a real nightmare in India, where the concern for fellow citizens is a mere zero.
