Exactly. But some fanatics are brainwashed into thinking that secularism is a weakness rather than our strength.

india wanted to copy one but the inner meaning was to suppress hindus in own land!
why own land?because the partition divided according to residency!
maxm amount of hindus resuided in today's india which was made secular and allowed the muslkims to grow adopting a number majority game!
somebody said it was gandhi's plan!
the crookedness is known afterwards!

It was because the rules of India post partition were not Hindus.

It was the British that gave it its secular character and built it as a a ation. Before that most of the kings were fighting each other

@ Sanjeeb Sircar : I think you need to go back to primary section and start reading History [even if it has been influenced by the British]. The King of Gujarat gave permission for the very first Parsi immigrants from Persia to land in Sanjan. Likewise, the Nawab of Arcot allowed Robert Clive permission to land in Madras and conduct trading activities. Indian kings have been benevolent ... most of them have been. Raja Desingu of Ginjee had a Commander-in-Chief who was a muslim.

@ Sanjeeb Sircar : If the early kings from India were not secular, we would NOT have been slaves, first to the invader Muslims and later to the British. Our kindness was taken for a ride ...

The reason Indians were conquered by outsiders was not because of the secular nature of Kings. It was because of the rivalry between the kings of which outsiders took advantage. Being short sighted is not same as being secular.

The community and it's people are responsible. No one else. Whether you prosper or languish is completely of your own doing. Don't blame others as you don't give credit to others. But my point was that there is no free run.

The country should give a level playing field to all irrespective of caste, creed or religion. THAT has been India's greatest achievement. Of course, ultimately the people have to help themselves.

Mr Ganesh Nakkathaya: Free run for long by Minorities. Yes, of course there had a free run for long for a community (have less than 5% of total population of India) which occupy over 80% government jobs and PSUs. And of course it has been restricted after 70s by uplifting others by providing some quota, I repeat uplifting others and not by suppression of that community.

whether this is because India is hyndu or not hyndu.

But one of the most glaring distinctive features of India among all countries is that more than 60 % of all Indians defecate in the open !

Second placed Afghanistan in this worldwide ^merit list^ compiled by the UN arm, World Sanitation Congress, has just 17 % of its population defecating in the open !

I did not gloat !

But as long as the most pressing problems assailing commoners are sought to be ignored or attention diverted away from them with the abuse of the term development and as long as commoners remain stuxpid enough to elect their representatives based on irrelevant themes such as hyndu.....muxlim......hyndu....., persons like me will keep trying to remind all about how stinking and deplorable the Indian reality is !

India is secular only because of gandhi.. and next Nehru followed even he is Pandit , he followed gandhi's rule, India will be secular under Congress/Trinamul or LEFT , but RSS is always against secularism.. they not like gandhi only because of this.
gandhi is so great that because of his one person all people stood for secularism .
before that as an while new kings arrive some people migrated that at that time world was like that , so at the uniting time of India even it was vedandik philospohy 30% Muslims also where there and some other culture also.. then Savarkar and Govalkar started issues of 2 nation plot on thier writing.... these all storeis why he is hiding
