True. And Nitish understood that. He realized that he had made a mistake in 2013. Now he was in between the devil (Lalu) and deep sea (a hostile Modi). He chose the latter as that was the better option for the people of Bihar. But yes, the only thing I would agree with this interview is that the BJP will surely extract his price. In his earlier stint, Nitish used to call the shots and take all credit himself. BJP won't be making that mistake again.
A typical interview. what is lying in future is the matter of speculation. I don't think Modi will maginalise Nitish, as he is not crook. Modi will act according to Nitish's line of action and I can remotely see a possibility of Nitish joining BJP after breaking the JD (U).
Where is the evidence tht BJP has sideline any of its allies ? It was NItish Kumar who broke the alliance with BJP in the first place. It is the shivsena today who is troubling BJP in Maharashtra. It was Naveen Patnaik and Ramvilas Paswan who ditched NDA in 2004. Despite the clear unpopularity of Akalis in Punjab before the polls, BJP did not break the alliance. Despite Mehbooba Mufti's anti-national rants periodically, the PDP-BJP alliance goes on.
