Corruption in India

If Collector/Magistrate of one State goes to another State, for Ration/Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driver's Licence etc., he would be asked to pay prescribed fees to the right collection agent. It is impossible to say clearly "which State or department is the most corrupt" in India. There is a fierce competition among States/Center & Departments, to secure top ranks in corruption, at every stage.

All kinds of enquiries/punishments have never yielded no result at all & more often than not the corrupt official pays the enquiry officers, from the corrupt amount & start his old corrupt practices with more strength, having realised, how to managed enquiry. It is not impossible o stop corruption but Govt/PM/CMs must have the resolve to implement certain simple rules, in every dept all over the Country. A Govt Official need not be caught red handed but if any person reports delay in any job (licence, birth certificate or Marriage Regn etc) first thing must be, the concerned Official must be depromoted at least one level, in his own Office & enquiry conducted, in the presence of the aggrieved person. If any malafied intention is proved, the Official must be made to continue his job (but not terminated) at the lower level and work his way up. Any more future ventures, he must be made to work as Peon if he is Clerical level, Lowest level Clerk if he is an Officer & Lowest level Officer (Non IAS) if he is an IAS Officer. There must be no further promotion for life if caught 2nd time. I can bet my life, if corruption will not stop, if such punishments are implemented in every dept & every state. Much better if the Official is also made to pay 10% of his Salary to the aggrieved person. We will never hear the word corruption in India in future.

we pay bribe because they create a situation

which create worry and tension, suppose you visit to MCD office for getting your newly bought property in your name , officials starts asking papers which may be not required , but they insist and ask you to bring those papers from the previous owner, now owner has already got money and not interested in your venture.
what one should do, they bribe a big sum to get the property changed into one's name.
This is a every day story in most of the Metros including Delhi.
Otherwise you go on running for unknown papers from unknown sources, it is better you pay and get your hard earned property in your name instead fearing some other charges and penalty added by those who are forcing you to bribe.
In fact reality is far more dreaded than the narration in such offices.

the office people normally least bother for our money, if we have to claim some money like PF, Refund, etc. the correspondence and sending papers through post, is just waste till one is not approaching personally or pay otherwise.
It is a day to day story of most of the offices .

Karnataka India's most corrupt state
by Sane Voice on Jul 20, 2017 06:00 PM  | Hide replies

There is a disclaimer at the beginning of the article. This study was carried out by an agency and released by the member of niti aayog. Does it require more elaboration since the state is going to polls in a few months time? Yes, corruption is rampant in India and continues to thrive even after the present PM came to power on Anti-Corruption plank, and even after so many exercises such as Demonitisation, digitization, cashless transactions, GST, etc were carried out (failure of some of these measures the government is not prepared to admit even now and defend these measures meaninglessly). The level of corruption can be debated either in favor of any state (like Bihar, UP, MP, or even Maharastra) or against any state (in the present case, Karnataka). Regarding corruption, one has to see the flow of money during elections. All the parties, BJP, Congress, SP, BSP, AIADMK, DMK, TMC, etc, etc (perhaps with the exception of communists) compete with each other in showering cash and goodies on the electorate. But the fact is some states progress and some others lag behind despite corruption prevailing all over the country. Branding one state as the most corrupt state does not make other states, or at least one state, corruption-free). Instead of branding any state as most corrupt state, why not the government devise methods to promote corruption free practices and public life for politicians, administrators, police, etc?

Karnataka is indeed the most corrupt state in India. No state can come anywhere near to beating Karnataka in corruption at all levels. Other states may be very crude in certain aspects, but here everything is run by very smooth criminals who will pass off as civilized.

Please visit Bihar, Uttar Pradesh under Samajwadi Party [I have NOT been there since this government took over] ... and you will know the magnitude of corruption. Something like during Mari Channa Reddy's time in Andhra Pradesh. These are all unparalleled instances.
