I think that we have to create some thing nice in our country and not be too bothered whether the world recognizes or not. In any case what is a nobel prize ?? They awarded Nobel price to Obama as soon as he was elected - he had the good sense to reject it !!
He definitely deserved and Nobel, but he had his shortcomings. Also British has a say in the selections. So no chance he got it at that time. Had he been alive for maybe 10 more years, no doubt.
In south Africa, he fought with whites to gets Indians recognised. He never bothered for blacks. This is an anomaly. He should have fought for the humanity.
During Khilafat movement, he caved in before Islamic radicals and started supporting an ideology which was detrimental to the world peace. Result is- we had Mapilla riots. Also there were many deaths in other parts of India, because of this idiotic cause.
Nobel prize is not a game to be won of and Gandhi was not a player who was after any prize or medal. Nobel prize is awarded for a person who positively effected the life of people on this earth
