They should feel thankful that India is not People's Republic of China. They should know what China did to the troublemaker students around 25 Years ago...!!

University Students in Delhi
by mohan raja on Feb 28, 2017 04:33 PM  | Hide replies

Extremely Unfortunate that Students are more interested in Dharnas, Protests, Marches, Aazadi and glorifying the terrorists, rather than immersing and excelling in Studies. Why these radical students be not counseled and if don't listen, punished?? It has become a fashion to slogan "Aazadi / Democracy / Freedom of Speech" etc. Should be rooted out in the best interest of our Country.

India is not for Indians any more
by clement buck on Feb 28, 2017 04:33 PM  | Hide replies

people who are liberal and have opinion will have to find a democratic country as asylum. now this country is showing its facist face through the hate mongers. if anyone is propogating hatred and espousing the cause of the present dispensation then he can stay here with all law protection. delhi police and the nia has become incompetent under the present regime. so liberals try and find asylum. the only hindu country in the world nepal is how developed we all can see for ourselves. now wewill soon be behind nepal.

Hyndu.....muxlim.....chrittin......hyndu......muxlim........!

However emotive these identities are to certain sections of the people, the fact remains that the primary purpose for which such identities are over rated is the desire of the wealthy and the stuxpider sections of the middle classes to try and push the most powerful identity (class identity) out of the consciousness of commoners !

DU & JNU should be depoliticised
by sirisha k on Feb 28, 2017 04:21 PM

DU & JNU should be depoliticized immediately. Faculty is more involved in these type of politics. First all student unions should be banned from universities for atleast three years. Some faculty members should be transferred to other universities other than Delhi. Main problem with these universities is faculty members are working in the same place since last 25 years. Also implement Acharya Simhadri's reforms. That is 1)No lateral entry (no student can join same level of course repeatedly). Once a student studied MA in any subject by staying hostel, he cannot join other post graduating course for staying in hostel.2)PhD students evaluation should be done in periodically like every 6 months. If he has not done enough, he should be given another six months, still not done his course should be terminated. Total time limit of completion should be six years. These measures will prevent time passing students and time passing faculty members. Already DU & JNU got bad name recently for many incidents. Let us hope these universities will depoliticized shortly.
