RBI issued a press release in Dec 2016 denying this romour and made it clear that people have only been advised not to write anything on currency notes as a matter of its Clean Notes Policy. Currency Notes with scribbling on it is a still valid legal tender. Don't be influenced by such baseless articles and don't share such false info with others.    Forward   |   Report abuse
