The scam is 20 year old ( or may be older ). Between the filing a charge sheet and sentencing, a generation passed.
In the mean time, the convicts enjoyed their spoils of the scam. They made their family rich, made sure that their family members are well placed and secure, even created a road map of succession to the throne.
While conviction of Lalu Yadav is a welcome step, it achieves pretty much nothing for the above said reason. There is no way the exchequer of Bihar will ever get those crores of money that these convicts looted. That is tax payer's money meant for development.
ANd then, sons, daughters, and sons-in-law, daughters-in-law and wife and the extended family of Lalu is now a power.
So sending his at this stage achieves little. Had it happened some 20 years ago, at the state could have achieved so much in absence of the extended family's overarching influence.
Lalu made sure that Bihar remained an under developed, poor, backward , criminal infested sh^t hole of sorts ,so that his power remained intact.
Too little , too late.
And guess they sent him to jail in Ranchi ( RJD strong hold. It is like his guest house).

please send this baugar to jail along with Lalu.He will fed him the fodder he has gobbled.
