one sentence gave it all away about him not being in the state.is it not the same for most of the people who comment here including me? the only winner will be the party who wins, pappus actions are more of desperation than taking up a challenge.with so many parties fighting against a spineless chief minister,it is natural that modi and shah come to his rescue.hasnt sonia or any other political head done the same?to say that rahul wins even if he loses is simple stuuupid,he should try better bootlicking skills

What do you want to tell me on the 18th ?

That the komaaaali party won ?

Yes, the komaaaali party will win as the exit polls have said.

So what ?

What difference would it mean to common gujaratis whether they are ruled by the Congress or by the komaaaali party ?

Either way, the majority of them will remain poor, be underpaid, exploited, suffer illiteracy and ill health due to gross underinvestment by the state in education and health and continue to defecate in the open, right ?

Congress or komaaaali party, no difference at all, right ?

You seem to be yet another wayside defecator (north Indian). Start washing your bottom with soap and water after squatting on the streets each morning !

Most north Indians dont do this !

CLASS DIVISION TRANSCENDS EARLIER POLARIZED GUJARAT
by damodaran mohan on Dec 16, 2017 03:52 PM

Very good column but it is the ‘Gujarat model’ effects in a way is the reason why Modi & co. are furious and nervous today. The pre-BJP/Modi Gujarat was No1. state of India with all round development though at a lower level of economy with the best roads, chemical Industries, Dr Kurien's White revolutions, a thriving rural co-operatives and above all a more EQUITABLE and a very peaceful(especially the entire Saurashtra regions) state of contented people except for the communally sensitive spots of A'bad. Then came Modi, the infamous 2002 riots, a polarized Gujarati society followed by ‘Gujarat Model’ of development till he moved out in 2014.But the G-model of development say between 2005-7 to 2014 brought about a 'CLASS' division within with ‘polarization’ effect waning and sharpening class divisions. Modi's cult status takes a beating among the less privileged especially in rural areas. Thus while in urban centers, among affluent and young educated youth he is still the darling but it is not all pervasive among lesser privileged youth and people in general due to diminishing of polarization effect. That is why towards the end he cleverly turned the campaign into a virtually referendum on himself and possibly salvaged the damage to some extent.

(contd.)My own reading is BJP indeed is in        some serious trouble and could only be saved by the pattern that has been set ----controversial announcement of polls by EC, two rounds of opinion poll with media projecting BJP wins, then the actual EVM polls followed by exit polls showing advantage BJP and then EVM results of BJP wins but w/o VVPT reconciliations with votes polled. With both Cong and BJP(150 seats) claiming wins it remains to be seen how they take the results. Isn’t it better we switch to ballot papers to avoid any controversy and trouble after every election?

These are called Die Hard fans. The congress will keep losing but the Shekar Guptas, rediff and NDTV will always say Modi has lost and Rahul has won. They will find different reasons and justifications and they will ahve the platform in Rediff, NDTV... Go on .. We are not fools....
