Hope our railways build some safe alternatives. Speed and time we can think later. Hope Elon Musk and Tesla motors will be able to design some safe travel system. Speed should not be only the criteria. Speed guaranteed with safety should be an ideal solution.

He being a chartered accountant by training, his focus will certainly be more on collecting revenue than service. He should not forget it is a welfare state not a baniya shop.

Very sad. Earlier news talked about injured alone, but passengers have died too. My prayers and sympathies.
While kids die in hospitals suffocating without oxygen, and people in railways, this province still believes that all solutions will result from building, of all things, temples! Hope they wake up, instead of saying such incidents happened in earlier regimes too and justify the disasters.
May the souls of those who lost their lives rest in peace!
