Timid act
by nasiruddin ahmed on Aug 01, 2017 01:04 PM  | Hide replies

He should have resigned and demand fresh eletion. It is act of oppournist who knows his support is falling down. Now, he fears that if fresh election held BJP will get majority and would not able to eat butter and cream of politics as ruller. So it is better to foget about all former allegation of BJP and tu tu me me with BJP.

Nitish

He has honored the voters aspirations and presented himself as true democrat. Changing partners in multi party regime-nothing wrong. He has not changed his party or ideology. He worked earlier too with NDA.
At least BJP does not believe in extortion or mal-practices like Lalu, Mulayam or Maya.

Courageous Act

May be. But many think it would be probably courageous act if he would have gone for election on his own strength or as an ally of BJP than clinging to chair. His present act seems to more treacherous than courageous.

Definitely Clinging to chair - His act is not courageous but opportunism as well as agst people's mandate. But similar type of act is not new, as many times earlier happened, in different states as well as in centre. Right from 1979 to till 1999 happened at the centre too.
Had he right, he should have removed his Dy CM and faced the repercussions. Had he done this he would have retained his popularity and name. Dissolving the Assembly and contested again with or without another alliance partner, the outcome would be either positive or negative. But certainly avoided election expenditure.

But in any case using IF AND
BUTS have no meaning at all in commenting - as the leader himself knows better than the commentators.

I think he has nailed his own coffin! Next election BJP will go alone & all other opposition parties will loose out.
There will be no takers for Nitish as BJP may opt to go on its own!

Nitish had earlier opted for an alliance with BJP and has full trust in BJP. in Bihar, BJP will never go alone and will Join Nitish for an alliance.

BJP however strong it may have become knows fully well that in states like Bihar, West Bengal, TN, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Punjab etc it will require a strong regional party to ride piggy back to power. Amit Shah would not be so foolhardy to risk alienating Nitish in 2019 or next elections in Bihar for any reason, he has already seen what happens when everyone gangs up against the BJP in Nov 2015 in Bihar.

So Nitish has taken a calculated risk knowing fully well that he is going to be needed by the BJP for a long time in the future. All this talk of him getting sidelined & BJP coming to power on its own is humbug & extremely far fetched.
