Human Rights Violation
by C V on Sep 27, 2016 04:18 PM

When Pak or other enemies talk about human rights violation in J&K, I fail to understand why our responsible persons are unable to defend the necessity of posting armed forces there. The fact is that there is terr0rism in that part of the country; primarily due to terr0rists being sent from Pak. Now, in order to deal with such security issues, we are bound to keep security forces (may be armed forces as well with special powers) So, in order to deal with such a situation, it is unavoidable to have security forces (with special powers) there considering the seriousness and they are carrying out their duties only, i.e., protecting the interests of the people and property there. So, as part of their duties, they may carry out searches, etc. However, in order to create ruckus by anti-nationals, they indulge in activities that might lead to action by armed forces to prevent further damages. That is what is happening in J&K and that is the reality. There is no violation of human rights by security forces there as such.

The Uri attack or any other
by piri on Sep 25, 2016 10:41 AM  | Hide replies

similar attack by Pakistan wont lead to Narendra Modi attacking Pakistan !

There is a description of the Pindari community (a medieval community of Rajasthan/U.P areas that looted to earn a living). The description goes thus :

The Pindaris come to loot, not to fight. They avoid fighting and do their work in swift attacks when they catch their victims completely by surprise.

Likewise, Modi and the BJP have come to power to help their financiers - the Adanis and the Ambanis and others - loot the Indian state and the Indian natural resources and thus to remain in power with such funds; not to fight with Pakistan !

LIKE SCHOOL KIDS
by Thomas Philip on Sep 24, 2016 04:38 PM  | Hide replies

India and Pak are like school kids.Actions like Uri will take place so long as Kashmir valley is simmering.Terrorists have local support and actions against security forces will continue .They are looking for a periodic action to remain in the lime light. There are numerous rotes to reach Inia which has a long border with India .And India has open an open border with Nepal.Covert actions do take place as far as India is concerned .However, these cannot be against Pak army .Their advantage is kashmir.

ICC ban Pakistan
by amit srivastava on Sep 23, 2016 03:13 PM  | Hide replies

Another diplomatic offensive should be banning Pakistan from playing cricket just like they did with South Africa during apartheid.

India has the muscle power to ask ICC to do it

You are right. India's power in cricket (though not while actually playing) may be compared to that of the US in World affairs.
Also, bearing in mind the love for the game in Pakistan, the ban should hurt their pride.
