I am from Maharashtra born in Mumbai, worked in Pune and studied abroad. I happened to accidently marry a kashmiri girl. My wife lost the citizenship there and special access. Kashmiris are such that they refuse to call outsiders from same religion as their own because they consider themselves unique with different culture, tradition and customs whereas they watch hindi movies and eat food not different to India. Most unique state is Tamil Nadu which has very less connection with hindi heartland and north east states which are also unique. Now about jobs and living conditions. Everyone has their own house there irrespective of economic conditions and more than kashmiri going outside for work, some 3-5 lakhs bihari, UP and Orrisa migrants work in kashmir as daily wage labour and workers and maids and living impoverished life there. Except Delhi which is metro cities and capital and to some extent Bangalore which is melting pot of Indian culture, kashmiri people face issues in other parts of India with discrimination and interrogation. kashmiri people in real laugh at poverty in India when I went there saying nobody in kashmir sleeps on roads like people do it in other parts of india with massive poverty. Compare to that few people from kashmir have gone to Islamabad and they mixed up with locals better than India..Please dont consider me pro pakistan I have no respect for that nation but telling you fact. Before 1989 many wanted to join pakistan but pakistani after 2011

Pakistan has become jurasic park with rise is sectarian violence and with many shias and ahmedia in kashmir they are resisted to join pakistan. Last and one last message to Modi. India has to take an economic leap like China and take to the rightly place for which it has potential. Give up mediocrity to get same respect. India has to take big jump in economic growth now to keep all the princely states and union united else it will disintegrate if poverty and hunger takes over economic progress. Last India has to be tolerant to kashmiri people keeping in mind it has special status and unless it is fully merged in India with populous vote special care has to be give to both jammu and kashmiri people which is not the case in reality in India

Lost citizenship? THATs the problem of this so called nation called Kashmir. But India accepted her without any question. Right?

I don't agree with either the writer of this article or your post. "LOST CITIZENSHIP'? what does that mean? Kahmiris do not have separate citizenship. The writer of this article has certain views like repeal of AFSPA withdrawal of army etc. Her article is in line with the promotion of such views. But it is not so simple. "Questioning their Indiannes"? doesn't the writer know the reasons of such questions? Can't she see paki flags in Kashmir?
They are coming from such back ground they need support, so too lot of them I valley!! Omar n mukhthis have done nothing!! Time the BJP does some thing under Modi!!
