PAK has multiple rulers
by Expert Comments on Oct 29, 2016 03:43 PM

PAK has multiple power centres that rule the country. The civil govt is a show piece, Military acts on its own, ISI works independently and they have the Taliban and other terror outfits who influence the people in their own way.

So it is a complicated affair with Pak who can never commit on behalf of other

People are the same !
by Bharat Kumar on Oct 29, 2016 03:33 PM

I was at Dulles airport in the US, yesterday, coming from India. I was waiting from my son to pick me up. A lady, in Punjabi attire, was nervously pacing up and down. She looked at me and asked if I could call her son and inform that she is waiting for an hour. She was speaking in Punjabi which I couldn't follow, so asked her to say it in Hindi, which she did

I asked her for the phone number when I realised it was a number in Pakistan! I had just come from India hearing of the firing at LOC and escalated tensions. But this lady had no inkling of all that, when she asked me to help. I knew calls to and from Pakistan to Indian numbers may be monitored, but seeing her anxiety called the number. A man answered and the lady was so relieved to hear from her husband.

She then gave him a hearing and asked him to inform the son that she is waiting for an hour, where is he roaming ?! There was still no sign and I called again and got the son's number from the man - she didn't have the son's number! Then, I called the son who was in peak hour traffic, where to come.

The son arrived and I was watching the emotional union of mother and son. The lady was pointing at me and blessed me from a distance, eyes in tears with relief ! The son was rushing to his car to prevent it getting towed.

I didn't hear back from the son, as we would if someone helps our own. But I realise he must have apprehensions of calling back an Indian mobile number. Or, whatever

A recent NSSO
by piri on Oct 29, 2016 01:12 PM  | Hide replies

survey found that 74 % of all Indian households live on a family income of less than Rs 5000/- per month.

Considering that states such as Kerala have been feted by the same surveys for having a far smaller proportion of households below this income level, the actual proportion of households with lower than Rs 5000 monthly income in North India would be higher than 74 %.

For this segment - that lives on the fringes of society and which is duped by successive governments (both Congress and BJP) with a multitude of fancy named social sector schemes that only serve as propaganda for those parties rather than deliver value to any meaningful extent - Pakistan and what it represents and how it behaves with India are all completely irrelevant ! For this segment, human rights violations and gross exploitation are intrinsic and daily features of their lives.

And it is primarily to try and hide their own sorry style of living from these underclasses that the government is going on and on and on about Pakistan in every possible public forum - whether relevant or irrelevant !

The union government, whose primary and sole aim now is to somehow win the U.P assembly election, knows very well how disadvantaged the BJP is in U.P in terms of relevant issues such as justice to the depressed classes of society. In the past, the BJP relied on engineered religious riots to divert the attention of these gullible classes from their living conditions. Now, Pakistan and its hostility

to India are seen by the BJP as very useful supplementary tools to apply along with communal riots and instigations to try and divert the focus of those huge gullible masses in U.P on voting day from the exploitation and acute poverty they have always suffered and continue to suffer !

What is your problem ?

Just ignore what you find inconvenient instead of expressing your frustration at being told or reminded about big and never changing facts about Indian society, especially North Indian society !

india army must be ever-ready
by swaminathankt kt on Oct 29, 2016 12:16 PM

if required the next hit must be so hard and precise so as to inflict ever lasting wounds on pakistan.

such that they should never entertain the thought of attacking india for all times to come.

pakistan does not deserve to be considered as a nation for any purpose hereafter.

the so called DOVES are shameless men as they just do things for a fashion without applying their mind.

but indian army must be ever prepared for a very big hit-back. as the country nurtures terror and engages in killing people of other nations without any feeling of remorse.

next hit must be on army camps so that the loss must make them feel jittery.

this is the only way and not talks for solving pakistan menace.
