by on Mar 02, 2018 06:04 PM

"the popular sentiment might undermine the promoters of a reduction in consumption of hard liquor."the health of the state must command the powers that be to LEADERS who dare do good ,sentiment or no sentiment.May be they will have the support of female voters to get equally opposing popular sentiment The popular sentiment in Kerala was cast driven, once upon a time .Swami Vivekanands called it ___.E.V. Ramaswamy Naicker did the Vaikkam satyagraham:Narayaguru fought for the upliftment of a societally let down lot of people.Sir.C.P. Ramaswamy Iyer offered temple Entry to all. They were not held down by the so called popular sentiment then.Kerala should hold the Bull by Horns.Ideological prism has no place in Education or Higher Education.Ideological prism ILL EDUCATES R.Ponnambalam

"need for revamping higher education institutions is widely recognised and measures should be taken to modernise."A good grasp of language and it's nuances help understanding highly difficult philosophies in any branch of science or art. This facilty for grasp of knowledge of English may be available for the second or third , Fourth generation educated people. There are still a great great number of poor people who lack all these. They also have to be helped. In this no ideology comes. We have to take initiative straight forward Rr.Ponnambalam

"Kerala State Higher Education Council without an ideological prism,"Why the word idelogical prism comes in Education.Education is Education. The ideological prism is a vote collecting prism. Our History teaching has left out Abdali's attack on India, what nanaknama says as regards babur's attack the name of Sir Syed Khan, his speeches ,Altan Hussain Hali,Abdur Rahman Dojanwe, etc.presenting a great picture of some for the sake of Votes. Some have weakened the force and strength of unity of demand of Freedom by questionable means.Do not glorify it.Say facts as it is.Now without educating the economically not so well placed to get good knowledge of English there upliftment is a question? Do we provide for it ?Today IAS,IFS are in great number through the help of lineage:i say only in positive ways;the parental or peer help right from the beginning. The write up wrote Keralite votes their caste. Are not many Institutions recruiting their castes and religions.Encouragement to these wrong tracks exists .Can we overcome all these when we talk of development.R.Ponnambalam

BJP is still in URDUSTHAN:Kerala not still in home grown growth
by on Mar 02, 2018 03:19 PM

BJP remains still a North Indian Party with spoken language of Urdu, speaking it the same way as in Islamabad but writing it in Devnagri Script practicing divide and rule in South India.Kerala must look for better Industrialzation and give up depending on Vote Lordship of Religions and the parties should tell the achievement upfront.Kerala cannot depend on Gulf etc for long. The growth from Home Ground has to take place Not just Muslims vote their religion , christians too vote their religion.there is no meaning in pointing fingers at BJP.The highly educated state has a long way to go to overcome all these R.Ponnambalam

In India in 1930s > Over 1950-1980 the bottom 50% captured 28% of the total growth. In 1930s , top 1% earners captured 21% of total income. spread the impression that it has grown significantly in Kerala !!

Actually, the BJP grew NIL in terms of vote share from the 2015 panchayat polls to the 2016 assembly election in Kerala despite high profile campaigning by Modi and co. in 2016.

And the BJPs vote share of 10.4 % in 2014 and 2016 is exactly the same as it received in the 2004 LS election !

So, where is the growth that little komaaalis and Gaxsbhai Shah are talking about ??

Private University

Ambassador Srinivasan,
When Left allowed Private University in WB? The first PU bill was passed in 2012 (Techno India University) under Mamta leadership. You can not justify your extreme steps on pushing apart a striking crowd to attend a meeting on establishing pvt universities. You were man handled which was very unfortunate. But it was invited too
