pak mil doctrine is to dismember india into various regions, so that it can have hegemoney over this subcontinent.may be this plan suits the west also as it will open up unintrrupted market for their trade, otherwise what could be their logic to support PAK since 47 with moral and mil support

US is party to keep PAK afloat . it will never support efforts to isolate PAK internationally. recent consignment of F16 proves my point. THE WEST HAS BEEN SUPPORTING pak TO CHECK INDIA

India should talk of peace but with a timetable with Pakistan.
by anand chandhok on Jan 18, 2016 01:03 PM

Peace is a proper solution between two civilized democratic nations India and Pakistan. both must work on mutually agreed timetable. However India should also firmly convey to Pakistan that it will not hestiate to use Military option especially if acts of terror reoccur. Anand kumar chandhok. Mumbai

now that Manohar Parrikar made a statement to the press that *his patience* with Pakistan is *running out* !

So, common Indians can now sit back in eager anticipation. Something catastrophic is going to happen to Pakistan very soon.

Col Anil Athale

is forgetful of, or conveniently ignores, the fact that China has already invested several billion dollars in Pakistan to gain full and free access to the Arabian sea.

This access, in the development of which the Pak economy has a very big stake, secures for China both vital strategic as well as commercial interests.

China, for all practical purposes, has nothing but contempt for whatever military might India possesses and it would be extremely naive of anyone to imagine that the Chinese will just stand by and watch if India were to plan and implement big subversive tactics in Pakistan.

How to deal with Pakistan

If the present approach fails (there is no need to assume that failure is inevitable) India will have no option but to proceed as Col Athale suggests. I am sure that one way the another, we will solve this problem in a few years.
