There was headline on this very portal that Gurdaspur SP kidnapped for ransom (now removed) and no one acted? They all thought it was routine.

The operation of such nature and magnitude has inherent complexities. Despite this our security forces have done a meticulous and professional job. Hats off to them. They have proved India is no longer a lame duck country.

Had they involved the nearby brigade, action would have been swifter and perhaps loss would have been much lower. Ajit Doval, being a former policeman, probably did not want to trouble the army. Instead, he involved the NSG that he controls directly. He knows the reason best.

This is a matter of opinion. Such operations require only specialized teams. Brigade would have ended up destroying part of the airport themselves with their heavy weapons
