1. At public places when you put a sign board "Do not spit" how many such places are clean?
2. Only 3% of the public pay income tax. Continuous requests are not adhered to. when some take liberty for granted, you need to step in and take steps.

Non tax payment is not an expression of liberty. It is our duty as citizens to pay but when the Govt' policies are so flawed then it is the Govt to blame & not it's citizens. When the threat of punitive action is always being used & the honest tax payer is at the receiving end why would people who are cheating the system ever pay. The fact of the matter is Notebandi is the most violent way to make people comply. Other methods like improving tax administration should have been at the forefront & jail terms for those who fudge records. This is the way first world countries operate but for third world countries like ours, violence seems to be the only measure.

NDTV declared BJP had won Bihar Elections when the counting was in Progress. In my view, NDTV is a strong supporter of BJP.

Also those that think CONGress and its cohorts are the best thing that happened to India.
Indira Gandhi also used hyper-nationalism in the run-up to the Emergency and later to justify it.
The assassinations of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman next door and Salvador Allende in distant Chile were used as evidence of the foreign hand behind Jayaprakash Narayan's movement, and as justification for the clampdown.
This, at a time when India had just broken up Pakistan, destroyed the Naxal movement and external and internal threat was at its lowest since 1947.
There was careful, if crude, meshing of nationalist paranoia with fake socialism.
Of all the infamous Emergency slogans on our buses, my favourite is 'Beware of rumour-mongers.' In more direct English, it would read, shoot the messenger.
