Are we supposed to be proud or happy for fueling a conflict!? Instead of amicably settling the issues, political interests want to fuel these issues so that they can either justify or divert public attention from issues like excessive taxation, kickback laden unnecessary Govt. expenditure, corruption, lack of healthcare, social security etc.

Historically East Turkestan (Uighur/Xinjiang) and Tibet region are not part of China.... Even The great China wall never passed thru it.... these region are on the westeren side of China wall. China has forcefully occupied them...
Next action should be
1. India should start showing Tibet and East Turkestan as as disputed region in official maps ... and start showing Tibet and East Turkestan as our Neighbors... India shares borders only with East Turkestan and Tibet .. not with China
2. Start issuing Staple visa to people of East Turkestan and Tibet
So India should cancel his visa and issue him a staple visa... That would have been the correct action and a tight slap on China face. A mighty blow that would have burn the red dragon

It was Nehru's ambassador to China who was instructed to tell China that Inda accepts Chinese sovereignty over Tibet.
Don't try to twist history and blame Vajpayee for being forced to continue tat line because of a weakened military left behind by Congress mis-rule.

I'm Sorry your knowledge is not upto date.... On Jun 24, 2003 Vajpayee agreed that Tibet is part Of China.....Till than India govt only recognizance that China has control over Tibet but no govt accepted that Tibet is part of China...
Even till late nineties in schools we were taught that Tibet is our neighbor not China
Credit was given where it was due....
Vajpayee will always be remembered for Losing hights in kargil sector to pakistan and accepting Tibet is part of China...
But his international diplomacy during kargil war was outstanding... he did very good job to trash Pakistan Image... but lost very important peeks to pakistan in kargil sector

Do you know there is a trade deficit between both Us- China and India and and China... what will happen if China sends the bonds of US.... US govt will collapse ... US own lots of debt to China... They cant stop buying Chinese products...
And China is not dependent on US alone like they were 10-15 years back... now they are exports to lots of nation...
What we need is to join hands with US and its allies in south China sea .. and keep China busy

With a weak military left behind by Congress -- which was more afraid of a coup by the Indian Army and decided that they would rather lose Indian territory to China than have a strong military -- Vajpayee had no choice but to continue to bend before China!
