New Scripture

We live in a world where a word of women is considered as sacred scripture. Then a lurking victimization is not far away.

Would you prefer that the testimony of a female is worth one sixth that of a male ? There are places which accept that view, even today.

This is a tragic decision, which will alienate parents and children further from religion.

Mr Vincent don't allow your religious leanings to cloud your opinion. He himself has admitted the crime in the court and accordingly convicted.where is the question about the statement by a woman arise now?

Zero Tolerance to sexual predators
by Savio Figueiredo on Apr 22, 2016 04:52 PM

Joseph Jeyapaul committed a serious crime , pleaded guilty and was punished. Equal to the crime is the offense of breach of faith. A priest is trusted held in high regard and if he betrays the trust he is responsible for the lack of trust that people will show in other priests. So if he has committed a crime he should be defrocked/dismissed as a priest and not allowed to come back. Yes one should forgive as everyone makes mistakes, but he can be absorbed in a area of work which does not involve direct contact with people. This will hopefully serve as a deterrent to future. The OOty Diocese can still correct its misstep. predators.

Criminal and Vatican
by balkrish on Apr 22, 2016 04:32 PM

It is very very strange to note that Vatican has approved a criminal who abused a fourteen year old girl to appoint as a priest at Ooty in India.People in India and world will lose faith on Vatican. Also both Indian and Tamilnadu government must look in to this matter as kids are not safe in his control.
