Wherever left wing people are in majority, such goondagardi by organised unions will take place, they have ruined the country. Left could not distribute wealth equal to all in their States and always with organised sector say PSUs, Govt. bodies etc.,etc., never cared for un-organised sector. They are one of the corrupt and prejudiced politicians.

Government has announced a Bharat Bandh Festival today for all Government Staff. It has been announced that all the Government Parasites (sorry...staff) who participate in the strike will be paid in full today from the Tax Payers money. Government had also extended working hours of wine shops in some states to facilitate liquor purchase to be consumed during Bharat Bandh festival. All meat shops have been kept open. A special award called Ye- Chury award is being given to the state that causes maximum losses to the nation.

Traditional culture
by noneisone on Sep 02, 2015 02:24 PM

This is in tradition with West Bengal tradition and culture. In our school days, we used to ask our parents - when will "Bandh" occur? The same tradition continues. Destruction ( if anything left) of West Bengal can not be resist.
These mad fellow countrymen are truly destroying their future - if any.

Apart from having hefty salaries, these bank employees get other perks like cheap loans for purchase of house, car, living standards up-liftment etc. at the cost of hard earned money deposited at them by poor Indian public. I shall be very happy to see if these bank people who frequently go on strike, suffer the plight of Mumbai's mill-workers in near future. These people are not known to call an agitation or strike to deal with the ever-increasing NPAs or to take the people responsible for that,to the task in the past. And what Commies have to do with the well-to-do class of Bank & LIC employees? Anyway, this Bundh is nonsense and hardly going to affect the common except in the Left ruled/dominated states (Bengal and Kerala as usual)where "Fokat-Khau" culture is nurtured. Govt. must take stern action against participants and instigators too. For Govt employees, their services must be broken so that they become ineligible to accrue the monitory benefits they due, after they retire as per the clear directives of the Hnble Supreme Court of India. Further, the life in Mumbai is normal and nothing Bundh-like felt at all. The photograph of halted taxis in Mumbai is a false photo and might be historic. This is a clear example of paid or instigating news by Rediff and must be dealt with a violent force.

Communists closed all the mills in India and lakhs of mazdoor become jobless. Kanpur had so many mills but these communists closed every mill. COmmunists are more dangerous. The have created maoists and killing security personals daily. Communist is a flop way of ruling. Russia has collapsed. Even China is converted to capitalistic and the worst country North Korea is true communist.

Record sales in wine shops in Kerala yesterday since it is Bandh today. Also long queues at Meat stall today . It is festival with booze and meat in Kerala today. Instead of calling it a Bandh why dont the communist declare it as a Red festival that comes once a month??

DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS BANDH
by Suresh on Sep 02, 2015 12:52 PM  | Hide replies

Basically all the things the people striking as asking will push the country many years in the back. Most of these people want easy money. They want the statys-quo to be maintained. PSU are white elephant. They are a drain on society. Why should general public need to pay to run inefficient PSUs. Even efficient PSUs can be made more efficient by privatising. Problem is these people are not used to competitive working. They want life on the platter. Most IT , Bank , Insurance , Healthcare know competitive working. World is competitive. I know it stresses people, but lets be realistic, stress comes one way or the other. Asking a strong PF scheme is logical, but 15,000 min salary in a PSU is not logical. Privatise these PSUs, and revise the salary to even 20,000 and work to that extent to earn that 20,000. Not at he cost of Subsidies and capital infusion with the money from Middle class tax payers.

I think the rest of the non union working class should call for peaceful march for quicker implementation of these schemes laid down by the government.

P.S : A movement has to be borne to re-introduce trams. Or Ride-Share to office. Force this menace of Taxis and Autos out of the system and save the earth.

Your comments and suggestions are valid. Als, in India the class of people who are truly developed and forward thinking are also never united. Wheras the trouble makers and work-shirkers always unite and make unreasonable demands...i.e. more wages for poor quality work. Look at the farmers who struggle so much and get what?. They are the ones who should protest and demand better wages/ payments. You have mentioned about trams (in Kolkata)....they are indeed very eco-friendly and useful, but unfortunately each tram in kolkata has one driver and 2 conductors who have hardly any work to do, what a waste of manpower and salsry of 30-40 thousand per month!. look at the developed antions where there is only one tram driver and NO conductors. We see our kolkata trams so inefficiently managed, 3-4 trams in the same route going together.....what a waste! Even the tram services need to be privatised like in the western nations, then see how efficient it will become. The root of the problem is the attitude and mentality of our govt. and PSU employees to earn free-ka-paisa without any work. Is it logical for our tax money to be used for paying them 80 days salary as bonus during puja????....its ridiculous and preposterous.....even disgusting. My taxes are being misused and I can never ever forgive any govt. or govt. employee for that.
