Politicians in India have adopted hate spreading issues to raise for their vote bank, as such till reforms are brought to make our democracy a real secular democracy, such hate will continue.

MODI IS DOING GOOD BUT OPPOSITION JEALOUS
by CADPAG on Nov 03, 2015 02:39 PM

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to triple spending on roads and highways is cheering builders in India, especially the smaller contractors, as he steps up efforts to upgrade the nation’s creaky infrastructure.

A custom index of eight stocks has gained 8.3% this year, compared with the 3.4% in the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex. The gauge has surged 73% Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) swept to power in May 2014, as construction rebounded fourfold to about 13km per day. Spending jumped threefold to Rs.35,000 crore in the April-August period this year, sparking a rally that more than quadrupled the market value of Gayatri Projects Ltd in 2015.

“Infrastructure is a sector that has high visibility,” said Arvind Gupta, chief financial officer at Mumbai-based J. Kumar Infraprojects Ltd, whose shares have advanced 48%. “Any government needs to follow the development mandate. The voter sent a clear signal that she will vote only for someone who will enable development.”

The outperformance of road builders stands in contrast to the nation’s power producers that are grappling with erratic fuel supplies and losses from selling below cost to state-owned distributors. An index of 19 generators has slid 8.6% this year, underscoring the challenge to Modi’s goal of improving public utilities. India is ranked 90 out of 144 by the World Economic Forum for the quality of its infrastructure.

In his first year in office, M

NARENDRA MODI

congress was pulled down by its associates while in power , as they made money openly . BJP made use of it & took it to people, got elected. Now it is the turn of others to pull down or prevent BJP from performing . it will be better If BJP concentrates on incremental improvements & wait for time for far reaching improvements for few years till they gain their support in Rajya Sabha. If they want to be in power & serve people for a long time, they should contain their hindu factionalism, as INDIA is having people of all religions , which can't be changed. After 60 years of being in power congress has lost steam , as it happens in all organisations.

Some Indian media, controlled by businessmen, politicians, govt. bureaucrats, are facing criticism for biased, motivated reporting, and selective presentation. Recently, after the devastating Earth quake in Nepal on 25 April 2015, in spite of India helping, tweets from Nepal trended effectively saying, "Go home, Indian Media".[34] Journalists cover Businessmen, Filmstars & other Intentional topics more for TRP. Disturbed by corruption, Delhi chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal suggested on 3 May 2015 to have public trial of Indian Media.[35][36][37] On 8 May 2015, I & B Minister, Arun Jaitley echoed similar saying "Flood of channels but dearth of facts".[38][39] Off late a lot of mainstream media channels have been accused of printing and telecasting unverified and biased news which they retracted later. In few instances content from Twitter's parody accounts were cited as a source. Indian mainstream media has often been accused for showing sensationalized news items

On the myth of the anti corrupt nature of the BJP/Modi.
by piri on Nov 02, 2015 11:42 PM  | Hide replies

It is repeated ad nauseam by many and by Modi himself that the current govt at the centre has *reversed* the trend of scams in government and that, unlike during the UPA regime, there have been no scams since Modi came to power in 2014.

Now, this claim overlooks the fact that all the scams during the UPA regime were unearthed only from the 7th year of its reign onwards!

This is because scandals are only discovered after the auditing cycle is over and if the auditor is there in place.

And, very pertinently, in the first year of the Modi government, crucial institutions set up to reign in corruption like the CVC and the CIC did not practically function! How can anyone expect any information to come out?

At least these bodies were allowed to be alive and well during the UPA rule.

If these watchdog institutions are not working and if the appointment of key persons are delayed, how can any scam come out?

The past records of corruption of both the Congress and the BJP are terrible but currently the focus must be on the BJP because it came to power on promises of reducing corruption but have effectively done no better till date.

If one judges this government by what it promised and its rhetoric, then of course nothing has come out from it and it is a joke.

Besides, the Modi govt is one of the most unashamedly anti-farmer governments in the last 2-3 decades. It is one of the most anti-ecology and anti-environment governments that have probably ever been witnessed.

Though he is uneducated, Modi is very c1ever. The first thing he did after coming to power was that he closed most of the watchdog organizations and then installed RSS folks in all key positions of every organization that can corner the government. I knew right from the start that he would do it soon after coming to power, since he survives and thrives on 1ies, false propaganda and having his own people in key positions.

Anupam Kher not neutral and hence ignore him
by Rajesh Chheda on Nov 02, 2015 09:28 PM  | Hide replies

People have given Modi a chance for 5 years and he took less than a year to squander the opportunity by his misgovernance and undue attention to foreign travel.
Anupam Kher's wife is a BJP MP from Punjab. What more need to be said?

Returning Favours..... Not Awards
by Serious Guy on Nov 02, 2015 09:16 PM

First of All, were most of these people worthy of getting awards. Why is the major Media and the film industry, not in arms against the Modi. They all know that Awards in this country are given on the basis of relationships. I agree with what Mr. Kher is saying. What happened to all these guys when the Kashmiri Pandits were being thrown out. Gulzarji ko tab Akal Nahin thi, Ya Ab Nahin Hai... this goes for all those who have returned the awards. What happened after the Sikh riots, after the Rapes, after the Scams, which the country was riddled with.
Were these people who are returning the awards, blind, deaf, mute..... then. Or is it time to return Favours.
Fact is Most of them were not given Awards, but 'REWARDS'
