Are we all blind and mad?
by Teekay on Oct 15, 2015 11:44 PM  | Hide replies

Guys, I do not have any affiliation to any political party and I am deeply patriotic. I think Mr Modi is the only one leader at this point who has some clear vision about a prosperous India.
Same time, I am ashamed of most of the people who made comments here completely ignoring the fact that barbarically lynching a family man alleging him eating some animal flesh(not human!). If Thaliban or ISIS is doing it, it is expected of them. When it happens in India, its a news. We all are responsible and we all should do everything possible to resist this sort of intolerance. In spite of that, you guys are arguing about somebody(who even many of you do not know) assuming she is a pseudo-secular. May be she is peeudo secular, I do not know, but we miss the point here that what is the bigger picture here?
If educated people like you think in this tunnel vision, how come an illiterate peasant behave in such a situation? be a model to your kids and teach them the importance of freedom of expression, freedom to live with out fear and freedom of choice what to eat and wear etc. Otherwise, you are no different from the terrorists who gunned down the cartoonist in Paris, or fools shot at Malala. Make up guys. This is your century and act responsibly.

I go by the sentiments of the writers. Not that there was no problem during the previous governments tenure. But no government colluded or openly supported intolerance like what is happening today.

Don't insult by comparing humans (including you) with animals. They eat just for hunger, they do not kill innocents for the sake of intolerence, they are not cunning and jealous about others for no reason, they do not cheat ,they do not keeep someone ( women) enslaved, they do not occupy others land, they do not grap others wealth. Enen their excreta is cleaner than ours.

They kill animals unknown to them. We kill bulls that helped us for decades in farm and cows that gave us milk for decades. We are so ungratgeful and cruel. Ungreatfull ness is unknow to them it is the nature of some (sub)humans.

Dear Santosh; well said. Basically, these so called writers and poets are nothing but stooges of politicians. Classic example was Dr(!) Anantha Murthy, who unfortunately left this world instead of India.

A Cultural Talibanism-----

All these writers are hypocrite and raising bogey of riots. They all are now feeling sidelined and not being given importance. Their work may have earned them awards & personal laurel but what has society gained? What a common man think about these so called uncommon individuals who can not tolerate others way of thinking except their misplaced philosophy? This is nothing short of dictatorial one way perception? Programme by Arnab Goswami on Times Now proved beyond any doubt that all these writers are highly biased against their political opponent? They are not apolitical?

yesterday, there was a very good debate on Times now, which clearly exposed that most of these so called secular writers have definite political leaning /loyalty towards congress, and hence, returning of the awards. Arnab mentioned several instances of communal clashes/ mishaps in the past where the so called secular authors did nothing in the past

is lucky that they have only one vote. Public media should limit this issue as a news report. Public media should be used to discuss issues that affect the public at large. Is it possible to get a report fro the about day to day work done by ministries, especially at centre ? By forcing PM to speak on Dadri incident, they are trying to strain the centre state relations. Why so many in the media did not take similar initiative when Singur etc happened ?
