The main reason for BJP's rout in Bihar was the PM's arrogance. He had cut himself off from most of the Bihar BJP leaders, & was completely dependent on Amit Shah's feedback. Secondly the PM hurt the"asmita" of Biharis by casting aspersions by commenting on their & their CM's DNA. If Gujratis have asmita,Biharis too have it, the PM should not forget it.Moreover Modi said Nitish's govt was shielding/supporting terrorists. No citizen(Biharis) will tolerate such type of false abuses, & that too coming from the country's PM. This Bihar election saw the worst type of accusation hurled @ each other by both NDA & JDU alliance, & it was led by the PM & Shah.

Mr Apte, you are forgetting one important point as mentioned above leading to NDA's rout- BJP not announcing their CM candidate. This duo of Modi & Shah have the habit of not selecting a CM candidate prior to elections, & then springing a surprise by hoisting a sycophant like Khattar in Haryana, who is just not able to handle things & mutters controversial things every other day. The same thing happened in Jharkhand. Nitish's slogan of "Bihari vs Bahaari" paid off, as the Biharis realised that some sycophant will be hoisted.

There is no Reason . The only reason is BJP are Going to die cause they do not want to run country in peace . they are just doing dirty politics over religion like all cow and beef . And modi is a just small person in bjp . The main are RSS . They will fall again .

Main reason for defeat was hindoos divided in castes and muslims united as a votebank. No one cares about arrogance etc..
what Mohan Bhagvat said was 110% right ? reservation was totally misused for political reason. in this karma yuga good things will not be heared, no needy to blame BJP for it, losers are biharis not BJP, keep looking for jobs in other states.
Like other run of the mill commentaries your analysis of the Bihar poll has left out the most cardinal point: the failure of Modi Government in terms of fulfilling poll promises of speeding up the developmental prodss. Radhakrishna Rao

Once in 2013-14 BJP, & RSS called Jitan Ram Manjhi(the then CM of Bihar)a divisive figure & anti-national, because of his comments that "upper castes in India are foreigners". But BJP took the initiative to welcome Manjhi's party into the NDA fold in 2014 GE & 2015 Bihar elections. So Praveenji, do not criticise Nitish, politicians have no "mai -baap", they only seek oppurtunities.
