There can be various parameters of comparison. But generally we compare the GDP and GDI. On both parameters we are lagging behind.
When we take parameters like self sufficiency, barring food and basic metals we are heavily dependent on import.
When we talk of innovation, we do not have a single product in the world which we can say that it is our invention. This is a sorry state for a country where Ramanujam, Arya Bhatta, C V Raman and many top world class scientist were born.
The computer that we are using, the phone which every Indian has gt, the television that we see everyday are all low technology product but we have to rely on China, Taiwan and Korea to meet these basic low end technology products.
We should not give lawerly arguments to prove that we are superior. The fact that our PM past and present had to go abroad to bring investment and transfer of technology clearly shows that our economy is not shining.
The head of state of other developed countries come to India to sell their products and not for financial assistance or for taking our technology to their country.
So there is certainly a gap between India and other developed countries. We need heavy investment in the area of research and development to make a mark on the world scenario.
See what DRDO has done. They have produced excellent result. We need many more facilities like this in different walk of life.
Rise above religion , caste and creed and regionalism and bring better work culture.

China is correct..n they have gone ahead in Made in China!! They do not believe in sloganeering like Made In Undia Abd India Shining n more.. You will notice them exporting all nations, n getting into roots on production.. Making Indian agod idols, kancheepuram saris n what not!! Is it the govt or the entreprunal China man is the question? The later it looks.. Today you van equal or more population of chinaman in IT in us, Canada etc.. China borders Russia, Pakistan, close to Japan n Australia in distance.. Certainly China is far ahead of us, in population n area even..

China has developed far more than India. Even if Modi succeeds in getting Bullet Trains for India, what progress can we showcase as far normal road transport is concerned. The corrupt administrators of roads and highways are to be identified and punished. Whether Modiji can punish the corrupt ministers both from UPA and NDA? Never because Modi will then be a lone4r in his own Party.
