I guess our man plans to plant trees inside manholes and potholes, for that's the only space left in the city to plant anything. If one wants to see the rape of a city, Mumbai will be one of the more likely candidates to fit that bill.
Natural Indian trees are better suited to grow than imported ones like rain tree and gulmohar. Mumbai has seen infection attack only rain tree and no other indigenous tree. So its a good thing to promote Indian trees. But the author has totally missed that and trying communalise the issue. Its now seen that rediff loves Hindu bashing.

should plant trees which gives some fruits like mango, jack fruit etc,so that it can attract some birds to keep the equilibrium. It will be useful in many way.
I really appreciate the good move started by Hanumanth Raje and would like to add NEEM Tree also in the list. Finally I request author not to mention "Hindu Trees" rather mention "SirHind Trees" as most of these trees cannot grow in other parts of the world.. Jai Hind..
