Like
Gun, tanks, missiles => Deadly when they used.
Cars, trucks, two Wheeler => Deadly when drunken driving or on high speed. etc....
Similarly fire crackers deadly when trigger with paint boxes or highly inflammable material.
So if their should be ban then Ban on everything because others also have same disadvantage of air noise pollution or waste of money
Think wisely :-)

Deaths are not caused to anybody at consumer end level. Those who attempt to make crackers as village industry or amateurship at home for fun get into trouble. Second cause is unsafe storage areas / godowns where fire accidents take place. In both the cases you cannot blame the crackers, it is the deliberate wrong handling by those involved who ultimately pay for it. In peak areas also it is less than 100 per 10 crore. Compare the deaths caused by road accidents per 10 crore in each of these areas and decide which is more dangerous. Should we avoid travelling in that case? Simply don't say kites are dangerous, crackers are dangerous, etc. Everything right from mobile phone is dangerous. These crackers in fact help the environment by eliminating the insects (flying and otherwise) with the pungent smoke and makes life better for us.

What?! Crackers help the environment and makes life better for us!!! Ha ha ha. On the contrary, crackers pollute to such an extent that smog and overheating of climate takes place immediately after festivals such as Diwali. Even though winter has started, it's still way hot.

October heat must be mainly due to widespread use of crackers during Ganpati festival. Forget about noise and water pollution,if you think about it the heat levels thanks to crackers have risen over the years. This October 2015 was the worst heat wave ever in my opinion.

What nonsense are you talking about? heat by fossil fuel burning is many times more than by occasional few incidents of fire cracker burning

All such dirty habits related to festivals should be left by the people.
