When SC opened its doors at 3 am for Yakub
by YOGESH JAIN on Jul 30, 2015 12:53 PM  | Hide replies

After the President rejected the petition of Yakub, why were the lawyers and judges trying their wits over the issue? Do they consider themselves above the President of India? Why even the Supreme Court have entertained his petition?

very well said. Some lawyers think that they are above all and true patriot of the country. Why did these lawyers did not have a word to terrorists when they killed hundreds of people. All for simple publicity. A serious enquiry to be made who fund these lawyers and NGOs

Why not have Eight Hour shift system for judges and others?

Better even, have video conferencing and let the undertrials stay in their respective jails rather than being moved around, thus risking loss of lives as always happens in th1s country.

Cases in courts
by arungopal agarwal on Jul 30, 2015 12:26 PM  | Hide replies

Drastic reforms are needed in our judicial system, all hard core criminal cases must be settled within one year time and civil within 3 years time, all cases which are more than 3 years old must be referred to courts which should start functioning in night. People need quick justice, not denied justice. Present system is neither justifiable nor providing relief to sufferers.

Mercy petitions
by vikram agarwal on Jul 30, 2015 12:15 PM  | Hide replies

Mercy petitions are wasting time in many cases, I don't understand why executive are involving themselves in the work judiciary. Are not judge is competent enough to see the sentence through. In any case in india criminals get enough time and resources to defend themselves and even all the high profile cases are again scrutinize by media and people again and again.

Is it open for common man also?
by rajesh kejriwal on Jul 30, 2015 12:03 PM

There are more then 2.5 crore cases pending in indian courts of common people. If these advocates and judges can work hard probably 25% cases can be disposed off with in life time of ours. Can they show same integrity for the cause of common man ?
