Govt. is puzzling on every move.
by Faisal Tabrez on Jan 14, 2015 04:04 PM  | Hide replies

It seems they are in action for some unknown objectives. Passing bills through ordinance itself disregard democratic values. Further all acts seems to fullfill dreams of funding members and not the voters.
Govt. must not mistake as it has to come back to voters and if they have to succeed by other means than communal flares then they must act wisely.

There will be serious trouble if ever government will try to take away the land by force without providing a better option.

She is not fighting so that land should not be used, In the west land is acquired through market price, your modi is taking that away and getting back old british law so that his buddy corporations can acquire land through a government ordinance.

Without paying fair market value to the people whose land has been forcibly be taken. How would you like it if the government came for your house, would you be willing to give it for the good of india.

The colonialist British invaders had created the Land Acquisition Act just to fulfill their agenda of LOOTING India -- they did not care about the Indian People, and were not interested whether their acts destroyed or negatively impacted the environment, culture, traditions of the Indian people. Each and every Indian citizen has a right to live in the country and engage and continue their ancestral professions and trades. The government has no right to enact laws that can forcibly and without the consent of the person, take away his/her land and other properties. Development should be for the benefit of the Indian citizen and not solely for the corporations, the politicians and their "affectionate buddies" -- the fundamental rights of an individual regarding the ownership of land and property should never be violated. The country does not belong to the government and politicians -- the country belongs to the people. LEGAL PLUNDER by enacting such laws should never be allowed!! Where those dispossessed and displaced by the government ordinance go? What will happen to them and their families?? It is a shame that the independent government of India still wants to continue the draconian laws of the British-Vultures!!

You are making no sense. You mean to say that poors shall sell their fields even if they don't wish. Will you justify if same is made to you? No system of justice can advocate that owners will can be axed if business wishes to aquire his / her property. One can request but there shall be no intimation on same.

what do you mean? By the way, Ms. Medha Patkar is working in protecting environment and poor people from so many years.
And......... how can you blame her. Do you have any proof to what you say and what you are believing? If yes, elaborate, NOW. Else, we can understand...

And just because the law is made by BJP you people will fight for it even if it is wrong. Do you even know that this is reverting back to old british law which the british had put so that they could steal land from poor indians?

She only has 2 lakhs in assets, how much does your papa gadkari have. BJP media budget last election cycle was 600 cr and yet you have no guts to ask your bagh-wan modi where this money came from, you would rather ask a poor woman fighting for poor peoples rights. And by the way if she had more money or if your Amit shah could even find one shred of evidence this would be front page news.

So Narmada Dam was bad?
by nikhil oza on Jan 14, 2015 12:26 PM  | Hide replies

As per Medha Patkar, Narmada Project was bad. Or it should have been done in a way, wherein it can never proceed ahead. Had people listened to here in early 2000s then the Narmada Project would have got stuck up for may be another 30 years.
Alas who benefited from it. Didn't the people of Gujarat benifited?
Theorotically your concepts may be good, but practically they have always cause loss of benefits to all.

Connan, have you ever visited Kutch? If you had you would obviously not have made such a statement. Go there and see for youself the water canals which has been made possible due to the Narmada project. Btw Kutch is today exporting Mangoes , a land where only cactus grew 20 years back! Do you get it?? Obviously not
