There is much that is wrong with Rajapaksa- including your points on Journalists, but China came in due to India's own follies and so did a rogue like him come into power due to India's meddling where it should not have
Gotabaya is Right!!! The seeds of Tamil separatism were sown by Periyar/Dravida politicians......and some decades back they were demanding secession from India too.......The Dravidian parties and their supporters wont mind selling themselves to foreign missionaries in return for power...In short they are traitors!!!

Seed of Tamil Separatism in Sri Lankan has nothing to do with Periayar or Dravidian politics. The Eezham Tamils are not interested in this. It came because of the racist discriminatory policies against the island's Tamil population by all Sinhalese led Sri Lankan governments since independence. This man is now trying to twist the truth. The had been systematically marginalising the island's Tamil population since independence and are still doing this. Denying them education jobs use of their language and stealing a large parts of their land by illegally colonising hundreds of thousands of Sinhalese in historical Tamil lands. Remember the North and East and the North west coast of the island has always been Tamil ruled by a Tamil king and an Eezham Tamil nation. The Sinhalese hardly had any peep in them. Contrary to what they now want to portray the island was never exclusively Sinhalese. It was because of the British that they took over power. The British did a great disservice to the Eezham Tamils by joining their nation with the Sinhalese lands down south and not protecting the Tamil speaking population. The Tamil people have every right to self deteremine of ask for their just rights. There is nothing wrong with Dravidian politics and most Indians are Dravidians not just Tamil Nadu. Dravidian Politics came because of Jingoism by Hindi politicians.

Gotatabaya is covering their Crimes.Many Indians don't know why Tamils were forced to fight Their history in Srilanka The power they had and how they were humiliated and Tortured by Sinhalese.Dravidian leaders have fought for basic human rights and for Justice.We are proud of them.Social reforms took place because of them.The suppressors and those who want to dominate at the cost of crushing others for ever don't want to tell the truth and spread their lies for their own convenience
They were not only paranoid against Tamil but also against Muslims & Christians. Inaction against Bodu Bala Sena & not preventing their atrocities against the minorities were the main reason for their loss. Corruption, nepotism and intervention in the judiciary (especially trying to be president forever). Shame on Rajapakse's, they must be held accountable for all their crimes and be punished.
He does not know about his immediate neighbour india but only ended up exposing his hatred/dislike for all tamils in general and trying to divide indians.. and score some brownie points... he shoud know -This same state policy attitude -plunged srilanka into a mess for last 3 decades . Srilanka cannot manage just two ethnicities and invited a problem 40 years ago thru majoritarian religious and linguistic chauvanism.(buddhist sinhalese versus hindu tamils) No such thing ever existed in india , which know very well how to respect each and every numerous (approx 30 or so ) ethnicities within. The srilankan problem was their own creation due to their state organised discrimination against the hindu tamils. No need for him to advise us and infact they should learn from us how to manage diversity.

Slight disagreement, India meddled, propped up the LTTE, got it's own army entangled and humiliated, got it's PM killed and got into a situation where our enemy China entered our back yard, all these are monumental follies by India, so we should first look inside our own house before looking to blame the other
Rajapaksa family did what they can do the country . The delimination of LTTE alone is enough and we should greatful for it without hesitating , not only that , erecting the economy of country from where it was is another great task ,but problem is ,many of us not see it .

yeah , that's what they said about hitler too. srilanka has bitten way more than they can chew. it is easy for an army to rain bullets and missiles inside theor OWN country, it will also create a backlash which the traditional Singhalese are too weak to face or have low IQ to foil.

From 1930's till 1945 he did get the GErman's a lot of pride, he rolled over most of Europe, captured large tracts of North Africa and "almost" subjugated England and Russia. The reason the world hates him today was due to his "Ultimate Solution" of concentration camps where millions of innocents were killed in very inhuman ways. Rajapaksa is not even one tenth of the monster that Hitler was., however both at their peak were very popular and a source of great pride to their people.

What missionaries- most of the backing and creation of the LTTE was by India and not any "missionaries". Rajapaksa got journalists opposed to his point of view killed and did nothing to get the Sri Lankan Tamils back into the main stream, he catered to the Sinhalese nationalism and not to Sri Lankan nationalism
