Use of non rational thinking to keep people unfree
Religious intolerance is a means to keep people unfree. Religious intolerance is cleverly created to brain wash people into extremely emotional states of mind so that they can be kept unfree, just as superstition, identity, nationalism, and other emotions are used. These mental methods keep people in an unthinking state of mind so that they act like herds of slaves or zombies. It gives zombie power to those who use such mental tricks to prevent people from taking charge of their own lives and to keep them obedient.
Rational thinking gives freedom of thought to the thinker. People get real freedom only when they use their freedom to think.

Urs. You need Obama to tell you that atrocities are happening against Hindus too. Earlier you never believed it. :-)

Religious intolerance can be fought by developing the knowledge of the target population.
Psychological warfare techniques should be taught at school onwards. It is a simple subject that is both easy and interesting. Theory should be brief but complete. Students can create examples, projects, plays, and debates on use of these techniques.
Religious intolerance is one of the techniques of psychological warfare. Students can recognize and deal effectively with it if they learn about it like an academic subject.
Gandhi had to be assassinated because he had discovered very effective psychological tools to fight psychological warfare in general, and religious intolerance in particular.
There is a move to erect statues of Nathuram Godse all across India. Near those statues should also be installed statues of other people related to that subject, such as Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Adolf Hitler, Doctor Goebbels, Idi Amin, and others. The collection of statues on a related subject can serve following generations to understand the thoughts and processes of their ancestors, the effects of those thoughts, and matters related to that. Nathuram Godse should not be left alone in history.
This is nothing, but frustration. Mr.Barack Obaama would be of the feeling that, after dumping crores of money, his own religion is not growing here in India. But no one can help him.

India has much better record than any other country including US. Yes there are some minor set of people with that mindset but majority of Indians are very tolerant and this includes people from all religion. Yes but if organizations like IM, VHP, Bajrang Dal etc are not controlled the day is not far away when we see the same set of problem which is happening in our neighborhood and other countries

you are right but most of our religious intolerance is more political than religion which is sponsored by outsider.
Barack Hussein Obama (mark is middle name) was a community organizer in Chicago before earning his law degree.
Obama need not lecture India on anything. he better focus on racism prevailing in USA where blacks are killed by the police at the drop of a hat and are later hailed as hero who go scot-free. End racism in USA first.
