a lot of this fracas in india would not happen if every_mohalla has a_kabaddi team, and have periodic_kabadi competition. this is the reason america has a football team for every locality.

This is not a two way street or giving the other cheek to be slapped. It is a multi-way corner where the right of way is assessed by first come basis. There is a lot of give and take on equal basis. Just crying or wailing as a minority does not nurture well.

There is no point romanticizing about Gandhiji or for that matter Hindutva. Earlier we reject our past and embrace the scientific truth of the West we will make real progress. All our civilisation is mediocre and defunct in front of the modern Western civilisation.

Dear Rediff Staff ; It would be helpful if you would reveal your identity. Also, the discussion is about Gandhi and his policies. You are discussing Indian science and culture. I guess you are saying that what is written in the Vedas and Ayerveda and Yoga is all humbug. Well...maybe you may wish to put that to the jury.
Thank you Mr. Obama for your open and straightforward assessment about India's situation. We appreciate your views. Hope our ruler BJP takes note of your comment. But don't let this comment interfere your decision to invest in India. You must invest in India because we (BJP) need dollars urgently.
