Nobody is going to listen, because Brahmins are very less in number, therefore their voice can not reach to any body's ears, though they are the the poorest part of the society.
Quote from RK Misra Society is like a stew. If you don’t stir it scum floats to the top. But those who do so must bear the burden of the stink. Both stirred and shaken, Gujarat is going through turmoil-filled days as its affluent and numerically strong Patidar (Patel) community mounts a fierce assault for other backward class (OBC) reservation that is straining the fabric of inter-community harmony.
I think we should now think in the direction of removing reservation in India instead of forcing youth to start such kind of agitations. If a horse runs faster than donkey, should we chain its legs by way of reservation so as donkey can overtake him.We will have many more agitations like this or our talent will run away from India so called brain drain. There is no removal of creamy layer as promised by politicians.4-5 GENERATIONS ARE STILL GETTING RESERVATION AFTER REACHING AT TOP.This should end now although Constitution maker Ambedkar also recommended 10 years of reservation.Financial backwardness should be made criteria without any prejudice to caste ,creed or religion for any kind of reservation. We are jeopardizing the unity of country by dividing people on such basis & social unrest will grow by leaps & bound.
Its very disheartening & ridiculous that Everybody wants himself to be called of lower category. This the trend these politicians has made. In few years only Brahmins and Baniyas will remain in general category but we are proud to be remain in that category.
There must be perodic support for every community but not reservation granted,Use your mind, construct your family, give more focus on studies and work,i curantee you will not be backward, time has changed.
Even the Patels know they will never get reservations. They are just not eligible. Even if the political class given in to pressure it will be over ruled by the SC as the data just doe snot support the claim that Patels are backward.
It's a political game being played out. There is no just demand there for which Patels are fighting.
Re: It's a political game. Nothing to do with reservations.

Why are Patels afraid to go to the court. You cannot demand by threatening and using violent methods. Then what is the difference between Patels and Naxals/terrorists.
The best way to deal such agitations is to declare the castes do agitation to declare as OBC .Then the general category will become OBC and again competition will be there anmong themselves .Let them fight .
pl do not involve jains in your fight when Muslims 17.22%,Christian 2.3%,Buddhist .7%, jains .79% [.79cr] not even patels more than Jains. when we got reservation not because of BJP & MY VIEW NO RESERVATION SHOULD BE GIVEN FOR JOBS ONLY ON MERITS & STUDY IF IT THEIR WE DO NOT HAVE PROBLEM
Reservation should be based on economic condition and not on bases of caste/religion/creed. every one should get fair chance. we see that incompetent from sc/bc/obc are getting reservation in admissions, jobs and even in promotions. while india going down day by day because of incomepetiveness of public servents.
