It is logical to avoid press when in power
by on Aug 14, 2015 06:45 PM

If you are in opposition, there is no harm in attending the interview with press. Even if you say something right/wrong it will not make any difference. If you are in power, then every word uttered has the weight, and there are people ready to interpret it as per convenience. So better avoid press.

Modi's Speaches are not his won
by arulraj on Aug 14, 2015 06:45 PM  | Hide replies

Every one thinks his speaches are his own but in reality, he has number of very brilliant south indian Brahmin secratries they prepare his speech and give to him and he just delivers. This is the basic reason he avoids media, that he cannot give proper answers spontaneously if he dares to give then he will be caught with his won words for he is full of wises with many causes and reasons to be caught. The Karan Thapar programme is very clear evidence

All the Prime ministers right from Nehru to Dr. MMS have ghost writers ( or a set of writers) who write the speeches for them; it is not only for Modi. But the difference is Modi is blessed with a great memory and after a reading can 'go' extempore. That is the difference. But Rahul, he cannot even read from a script, nor answer the 'questions' in a 'fixed interview' like the one he had with Arnab Goswami. He is an exceptional dud.

I think Raulraj surely needs a 'ghost writer'; his short passage is full of mistakes.

Modi has taken the option of direct communication with the masses(Man Ki Baat etc), and thus probably does not feel it necessary to worry about the press

That is the major grudge for the media. He does not take them on 'free foreign jaunts' just like the other Prime Ministers. He takes only those from Doordharshan. So all tamasha at Govt expenses is lost for these guys who hate Modi even more.

today Indian press (media) runs on one motivation, that is to make profit by any means since they invest a lot of money which they want to multiply to run and expand the business. so they have to publish all those items which earns good money. anybody or any party who can pay quite well will be give exposure in media. thus they compromise of issues of national security as well. in short, media is completely a corrupt industry.

Our PM understood this point, hence avoids talking to them.

Another point is, media shows only convenient information removing some part. So better do no talk to them.

avoid the press
by on Aug 14, 2015 05:16 PM

It is better that the media is avoided. they never put out the news; they unabashedly project their one sided views in the channels day in and day out. The press should not only be put at arms length, it should also be put in its place and that is what Modi is doing. The press, especially the news channels are more interested in sensationalism to improve their TRP rating than give out the real news. They dont practice objective reporting. For the news channels India starts and ends with New Delhi. there is no India outside the Lutyen's Delhi. They all should watch Al-Jazeera News channel and learn from them how to make a objective, unbiased and matter of fact reporting. I concur with the views of Gen. VK Singh about the Indian Press(titutes). You feel sick in your stomach on watching these channels. As the standard of reporting and their method of presentation is crude and highly motivated, it is better that people like PM keeps away from the press.

by Jagdish Dubey on Aug 14, 2015 05:15 PM

Modiji does not need media and is not going to oblige it the way shown in Amitabh starrer Rann with cash or Lutyens bungalows or Padma award. You do your job and allow me to do mine. Keep on writing whichever way you want. RaGa is talking all kinds of nonsense since he gone berserk trying to bring Modiji to speak on his agenda. Media will never be pro Modi because there is no manna with him to offer.

Avoiding Press
by arungopal agarwal on Aug 14, 2015 05:11 PM

Our whole democratic, judicial system is based on legal truth not on actual truth, actual truth is different. As such balancing in politics is also not actual, this is of compulsion and every party is interested to extort as much as possible. This is our politics today.
Only correction in judicial system will bring real change, as people suffer.

Modi and Gandhi.....
by Dattaprasad Prabhu on Aug 14, 2015 05:10 PM  | Hide replies

Mr. Modi is from "Talk Less Work More" culture. This is evident from the fact that he ordered to list the names of those officers who leave the work place before 5 pm for coffee-house or golfcourse and is not popular in Delhi's Babudome. Babus are not talking openly because they are dreaded of him. This also evident from the fact that he is NOT in so much cordial relations with Nagpur whereas LKA, NG etc are. Sonia is neither intellect nor having a rural commonsense like that of Mulayamsingh, Paswan or Niteesh Kumar have. She was made leader for the sake of crisis (Sitaram Kesari saga) within the Cong party.
