I fully agree that Nehru and Gandhi may be great to so many Indians. But Nehru was a playboy. he was more interested in building International image. Gandhiji did all confusing acts. he succumbed to Nehru"s pressure. Jinnah probably would had agreed to keep India United had Mr. Lokamanya Tilak was alive. Mr. Nehru to keep his Priministership in tact kept Mr.Sawarkar in virtual Jail. Because if Sawarkar and Sardar Patel were allowed to act. They would have prevented partition or solved Kashmir problem 60 years ago. Mr. Nehru's deeds and Mr. Gandhi's diplomacy have landed us in perpetual troubles.
partition was a thing which nobody could prevent. Indian Muslims were overwhelmingly in support of partition. They even voted for it. If partition was prevented, there would have been a lot of anarchy all over India from day-1. Communal riots would not have stopped till date and India would have been covered in blood.
Nehru and Gandhi could have facilitated civilised exchange of populations between India and Pakistan - till the whole task was complete. The purpose of partition was defeated when 200 million Muslims still stayed back in India- after opting out overwhelmingly. It is like having the cake and eating too.

I agree with you that partition was inevitable but could have been managed better if Patel was made PM.Nehru had no time for details & was too scared of international image. His misadventure in J&K by announcing UN monitored referendum is still causing so much problem for generations.
Moderatoe Saheb, Are you totally against all criticism of RSS or you do not want the facts to be brought out? In such case why ask for participation in discussions?
Congress had the example in History of USA who did not agree to partition in spite of long civil war. Gandhiji had told many times that partition will be on his dead body. Britishers had told that they will leave the country by June,1948. In spite of this, Congress agreed for partition. Gandhiji did not go for fast against this, though on many occasions he had done this for very small causes. Then who made Gandhiji agree for partition? Answer is obvious. The result is there is complete communal divide today and we are at continuous war.
