Boo... Aakar Patel
by sujit chitale on Apr 13, 2015 09:42 PM  | Hide replies

Why has this man not been booked under charges for spreading communal hetred?

Anglicized middle class not bothered about poor wood cutters and muslims...

On what basis has Aakar Patel got to these conclusions is not known...

Those poor wood cutters... why were they stealing wood that is known to be a precious resource and has restrictions on cutting it right since British times...
Just because someone is poor there should be no excuse from getting away from their wrong doings...

As regards to whether it is a planned encounter or no there is an investigation pending... Before even any findings have surfaced Aakar Patel has already given the decision... Is he more aware of deeds of such poor men than that Anglicized middle class? Is he one among them? Why not investigate this?

It is these short sighted self centered self proclaimed experts are the problem that India suffers most from....

Which law permitted Capital punishment for illegal cutting of Forest trees.

Why don't you give this punishment to Sathyam Raju for defrauding thousands of investors and bringing down the name of the country. We should not do that because we have to work within the laws of the country.

Why don't these cowards show their bravery to naxalites

So when naxalites kill police without warning it is fine but police however outnumbered can not fire on groups that are engaged in looting and are known to use stones with great efficiency?

Wake up sir and try to read response from police who severely wounded an old gujarati fellow in US even when police had numerical and weapons superiority...
I am not saying we follow US but then why deny our policemen benefit of doubt till they are roven guilty...

AP T killings

Unlike the killings in the US, these are not yet proven.

Incidentally, the English news channels gave them a great deal of time.

Things may be better than this writer thinks.

The writer seems to be a presstitute as the import of the word MUSLIM into this matter is unnecessary. At the same time unlawful killings are to be condemned.

Nonsense. Police are not supposed to be judge, jury and executioner; criminals deserve a fair trial.

Police not at fault
by Rajesh Chheda on Apr 13, 2015 05:05 PM

In Mumbai circa 1994-99, gangsters ran and ruled the city during the time of SS-BJP where Gopinath Munde was Home Minister. large number of businessmen were killed by rival gangs and Nero Munde and CM Manohar Joshi pleaded helplessness in controlling the situation.
Munde has just disbanded Vigilance Branch of Mumbai Police and Crime Branch was under heavy politics of transfer.
Then came the rise of encounter specialists Vijay Salaskar, Daya Nayak, Pradeep Sharma, Praful Bhosale and others who restored law and order in the city only by encounters not arrests.
Today gangsters operate with a fear of being bumped and hence lesser number of gangsters on streets now.
R.R. Patil as new Home Minister meted out punishments to these very same officers and allowed gangsters to flourish again. Surely R.R. Patil must be smiling.
